Every Way To Farm Megamaguey Pineapple In Final Fantasy 14

Players looking to farm some Megamaguey Pineapple for a recipe have several options. It drops from:

  • Megamaguey or Notocactuar enemies in Dawntrail's Urqopacha zone
  • Retainer Hunting Ventures Level 91
  • Retainer Field Exploration XXIX Ventures
  • As a Potential Reward from the Levequest Mor Mezcal

To get Megamaguey Pineapple from Hunting Ventures, players need to outfit their retainer with an item level of at least 630. For maximum yields, aim for 675 (maximum yield 15).

The ingredient is also sold by several Bicolor Gemstone Traders, including:

  • Beryl in Solution Nine (8.4, 14) Kajeel Ja in Tuliyollal (12.8, 13) Tepli in Urqopacha (27.5, 11.7)

However, it is a Rank 4 purchase from all three vendors, which means that players will need to farm a lot of FATEs before getting access to this option.

The Megamaguey Pineapple drops from two mobs: Megamagueys and Notocactuars. These mobs spawn in the Urqopacha zone at around (18.0, 12.7). They are level 91, which means that they can easily be fought by all players in the Dawntrail expansion.

The Best Farming Routes For Megamaguey Pineapple In Final Fantasy 14

To optimize your Megamaguey Pineapple per hour, players should follow a circular path through the region marked (in red) above, following these general coordinates:

  1. (17.3, 12.6) Then move S
  2. (17.3, 14.0) Then move SE
  3. (18.3, 15.2) Then move NE
  4. (20.4, 14.4) Then move E
  5. (22.6, 14.6)

Flying between points is ideal, stopping to kill the 1–3 mobs at each location. When done quickly, this can net around 30 Megamaguey Pineapples an hour (depending on RNG).

Alternative Farming Routes

For a slightly more expansive farming route with more enemies, the circle immediately east of this farming route (marked in blue) is great for killing Notocactuars. When done together with the above, the final product should be a farming route shaped like a figure 8. This route is generally less efficient due to travel time, but it may help those who are killing enemies on the first route faster than they can respawn.
