Final Fantasy 14 confirmed that the Dragon Quest 10 crossover event will have another run in June, just weeks before the launch of the highly-anticipated Dawntrail expansion. This version of the Dragon Quest 10 event in Final Fantasy 14 is the same as one held in previous years, but players who previously completed the quests can replay them during the event.
The news of the Dragon Quest 10 event arrived as Final Fantasy 14 remained in the middle of multiple events. Square Enix's critically acclaimed MMORPG hosted the Fall Guys collaboration event and the Yo-Kai Watch crossover simultaneously. Both events were repeat runs that gave players another chance to experience them and claim rewards. Outside the game, Final Fantasy 14 is also crossing over with Mountain Dew Gaming, which offers rewards such as the Mountain Zu mount and physical prizes such as clothing and PC peripherals to players who purchase eligible items.
Final Fantasy 14 Announces Payment Changes For Some Users
With five weeks until Dawntrail enters early access, Final Fantasy 14 announces some payment changes that will affect specific users.
While Final Fantasy 14 hosts several crossovers simultaneously, one more event will return ahead of the Dawntrail expansion. According to the Lodestone, Final Fantasy 14 and Dragon Quest 10 will restart their crossover event on Wednesday, June 5, at 4:00 AM Eastern. The Dragon Quest 10 crossover will end on Thursday, June 20, at 10:59 AM Eastern, just over a week until Dawntrail launches in early access. The event begins with speaking to a lalafell named Havak Alvak in the desert city of Ul'dah upon reaching level 7 and accepting the quest Breaking Brick Mountains. This quest will guide players around the Thanalan region as they investigate sightings of strange Golems, which share the appearance of ones found in the Dragon Quest series.
Final Fantasy 14 x Dragon Quest 10 Crossover Event Details

Players who previously completed the Dragon Quest 10 event can replay it using the Seasonal Event Replay feature. While the event is active, Final Fantasy 14 players can participate in exclusive FATEs that will grant them credit towards quest completion. Final Fantasy 14 players can get rewards during the Dragon Quest 10 event, including the King Slime Crown, the Thug's Mug helmet, and the Wind-Up Brickman minion. The Wind-Up Brickman minion and the Thug's Mug are rewarded for completing Breaking Brick Mountains, and the King Slime Crown can be purchased for 57 Gil by speaking to a Toughie vendor in Ul'dah.
The Dragon Quest 10 event will start amid a busy schedule for Square Enix. Between the virtual events and the ongoing Mountain Dew crossover, Final Fantasy 14 players waiting for Dawntrail's release have plenty of content to tide them over.
