The Ninja in Final Fantasy 14 puts a great emphasis on both stealth and speed to unleash chaos on the battlefield - something that directly reflects the Ninja Job in any Final Fantasy game. And similar to its counterparts in other Final Fantasy entries, the FF14 Ninja holds the key to some of the deadliest rotations to ever grace the game’s overall DPS meta.

Of course, given the Ninja’s strong emphasis on dealing damage, their efficiency as DPS relies heavily on the kind of loadout they have. The Ninja’s overall damage output only meets their desired marks when equipped with the right weapon. However, just what weapon suits the Ninja of FF14 best?

10 Palaka Cleavers

Palaka Cleavers
Item Level 536 Physical Damage 106
Auto Attack 90.45 Delay 2.56
Dexterity 216 Vitality 227
Determination 147 Direct Hit Rate 210

Surveying for trouble is a scout’s game, and the Palaka Scouting Set deserves a fitting blade like the Palaka Cleavers to take down threats before they soon pose trouble to the land. Its Auto Attack might not be as high, but it boasts quite a decent base Physical Damage. Stats-wise, the Palaka Cleavers emphasize quick and direct hits, thanks in part to its decent Dexterity and Direct Hit Rate in contrast to its low dexterity.

Players can acquire the Palaka Cleavers from the Vanaspati dungeon in Endwalker, where it has an average Item Level of 510.

9 Manganese Daggers

Manganese Daggers
Item Level 539 Physical Damage 95
Auto Attack 81.06 Delay 2.56
Dexterity 197 Vitality 205
Critical Hit 133 Determination 191

The Manganese Daggers are perhaps one of the most stylish daggers to exist in the game, thanks in part to its sleek appearance with blood-colored details. While the item boasts an Item Level of 539, the Manganese Daggers do suffer from low base stats, as seen immediately from its Physical Damage and Auto Attack. Not to mention, its rather low Critical Hit means the Manganese Daggers work best in direct confrontations but still need necessary buffs from Jobs like the Sage.

Thankfully, the Manganese Daggers are quite easy to acquire. To attain this item, players need the Ironwood Weapon Coffer, commonly found with Junkmongers in Elpis.

8 Ktiseos Main Gauches

Ktiseos Main Gauches
Item Level 542 Physical Damage 107
Auto Attack 91.30 Delay 2.56
Dexterity 222 Vitality 229
Critical Hit 213 Determination 149

Nothing would fit the sleek appearance of the Ktiseos Scouting Set than the sheer stylish aesthetic of the Ktiseos Main Gauches. And for a set that appears to blend in with the shadows, the Ktiseos Main Gauches seem befitting a Ninja primed for the attack. Its Dexterity, Vitality, and Critical Hit stats are very close with each other - emphasizing crit-based builds. And while its Determination isn’t as high, its Auto Attack seems enough to compensate.

Players can acquire the Ktiseos Main Gauches from the Ktisis Hyperboreia dungeon in Endwalker.

7 Chondrite Magitek Cleavers

Chondrite Magitek Cleavers
Item Level 545 Physical Damage 97
Auto Attack 82.77 Delay 2.56
Dexterity 203 Vitality 207
Critical Hit 193 Direct Hit Rate 135

Why settle for a typical Ninja look when it’s completely possible to eliminate people with style? While the Ophiotauroskin Scouting Set gives a sense of regal steampunk to its wearer, the Chondrite Magitek Cleavers adds a bit of steam-powered chainsaw violence into the mix. While its base stats aren’t high as desired, the Chondrite Magitek Cleavers seem built to dish out consistent damage, particularly with its addition of a Direct Hit Rate bonus on top of a decent Critical Hit bonus.

Thankfully, this stylish Magitek-themed weapon is easy to acquire as well, as players can get this from the Chondrite Weapon Coffer from the Junkmongers in Labyrinthos and Elpis, as well as the Merchant & Mender and Provisions Node in Ultima Thule.

6 Mutsunokami

Mutsunokami
Item Level 560 Physical Damage 111
Auto Attack 94.72 Delay 2.56
Dexterity 241 Vitality 241
Critical Hit 232 Determination 162

Often the most powerful katana in the games it appears in, Mutsunokami returns in FF14 as one of the best weapons for the Ninja. In terms of base stats alone, the Mutsunokami boasts a rather balanced set - with equal Dexterity and Vitality, as well as a nearby Critical Hit.

While Determination is a bit lackluster, the near-equal numbers of attack stats emphasize the Mutsunokami specializing in assisting heavy-attack builds, as well as the capability of dishing out consistent damage to opponents. Thankfully, players can obtain this weapon from Varsarudh in Old Sharlayan.

5 Moonward Ninja Blades

Moonward Ninja Blades
Item Level 570 Physical Damage 113
Auto Attack 96.42 Delay 2.56
Dexterity 251 Vitality 256
Critical Hit 173 Determination 247

Albeit with a name too on the nose, the Moonward Ninja Blades is quite a fitting set of daggers for the Moonward Scouting Set, particularly with its straightforward yet stylish appearance. In terms of base stats, the Moonward Ninja Blades seem to prioritize adding more Vitality, with Dexterity and Determination following close by.

Its Critical Hit bonus isn’t as high as desired, which may emphasize a focus on a build with heavy combat in mind. Players can acquire this weapon with the Allagan Tomestone of Aphorism, from Chanti at Radz-at-Han.

4 Classical Daggers

Classical Daggers
Item Level 580 Physical Damage 103
Auto Attack 87.89 Delay 2.56
Dexterity 239 Vitality 245
Critical Hit 159 Direct Hit Rate 228

Nothing’s better than the classic, and the Classical Daggers is every bit deserving of the name. Despite its rather mundane appearance and mediocre base Physical Damage and Auto Attack, it does have decent stats to boast. Its prioritization of Vitality with Dexterity and Direct Hit Rate means there’s an emphasis on direct combat compared to critical-reliant builds. This may fit Ninjas who want more of a sub-DPS role.

3 Radiant’s Sword Breakers

Radiants Sword Breakers
Item Level 590 Physical Damage 117
Auto Attack 99.84 Delay 2.56
Dexterity 280 Vitality 290
Critical Hit 182 Direct Hit Rate 260

The Radiant’s Scouting Set is in itself stylish enough, and the Radiant’s Sword Breakers just amplifies the sense of sleekness associated with the set. Its Physical Damage is among the highest in its weapon class, alongside a decent Auto Attack that emphasizes quick attack bursts. While its Critical Hit isn’t as high as desired, its high Vitality, Dexterity, and Direct Hit Rate all encourage a straightforward damage build - befitting the weapon’s three-blade fan appearance.

Players can obtain the Radiant’s Sword Breakers via the Allagan Tomestone of Astronomy and a Discal Tomestone from Cihanti in Radz-at-Han.

2 Augmented Radiant’s Sword Breakers

Augmented Radiants Sword Breakers
Item Level 600 Physical Damage 119
Auto Attack 101.54 Delay 2.56
Dexterity 296 Vitality 310
Critical Hit 186 Direct Hit Rate 266

It’s often when a weapon is upgraded that it shows its true colors, and such is the case with Augmented Radiant’s Sword Breakers. While its base Physical Damage and Auto Attack didn’t receive as many buffs, it’s the added bonuses to Vitality that showed the weapon’s true emphasis on giving the Ninja more HP for combat. With Dexterity and Direct Hit Rate bonuses coming on second, it’s now more evident that the Augmented Radiant’s Sword Breakers fit a direct damage build.

Players can acquire the Augmented Radiant’s Sword Breakers by enhancing the original Radiant’s Sword Breakers with Radiant Raborant from Khaldeen in Radz-at-Han.

1 Asphodelos Daggers

Asphodelos Daggers
Item Level 605 Physical Damage 120
Auto Attack 102.40 Delay 2.56
Dexterity 304 Vitality 320
Critical Hit 269 Determination 188

It’s perhaps the rather simple appearance of the Asphodelos Scouting Set that makes the Asphodelos Daggers such an impressive addition to its arsenal. Its unimposing nature fits its status as perhaps the best in the Ninja’s arsenal, especially with its decent Physical Damage and Auto Attack stats on top of its impressive Vitality, Dexterity, and Critical Hit bonuses. While Determination leaves a lot to be desired, the weapon more than makes up for its emphasis on the Ninja’s potential for heavy criticals.

Players can acquire this from the Asphodelos Mythos IV, sold by Djole in Radz-at-Han and Mylenie in Labyrinthos.
