With the release of Final Fantasy 14's Dawntrail comes several new achievements, including the popular secret FATE related achievements. Players collaborate to complete rare FATES in return for exclusive Glamour Pieces and Mounts, the usual Bicolor Gemstones, and to unlock a hidden achievement at the same time.
Dawntrail has achievement FATES in Shaaloani and Living Memory. However, these are located in remote locations and rarely spawn, meaning many players haven't had the opportunity yet to see them. Keep reading to learn what FATES unlock a secret achievement, where to find them, and tips for checking FATE achievements off of your list.

All FATE Related Achievements In Dawntrail
Each expansion of Final Fantasy 14 typically introduces one or two secret achievements related to FATEs. Dawntrail is no different in that regard, and has added two such achievements to the player's log:
- Terrible Ttokrrone
- Thanks For The Mu-mories
These two achievements are related to the Sandnest Deathmatch FATEs and Mascot Murder FATEs respectively. Their level of 100 ensures that few players will complete them before reaching the end of the expansion's MSQ, making it a fun endgame activity.
Both of the Dawntrail Achievement FATEs are part of a FATE chain. Leaving the area in the middle of the chain, or failing to participate, will yield no rewards.
How To Get The Terrible Ttokrrone Achievement
Players looking to check the Terrible Ttokrrone Achievement off of their list will need to complete the Sandnest Deathmatch FATEs in the Shaaloani Region. These FATEs are a five-part chain, ending in a Notorious Monster FATE, where players must kill Ttokrrone.
- The Serpent Lord Stirs
- The Serpent Lord Speaks
- The Serpent Lord Sires
- The Serpent Lord Suffers
- The Serpent Lord Seethes
The Sandnest Deathmatch FATEs always spawn at (22.5, 5.1) on a remote platform, and are level 100. Therefore, players will need to have a max level character with flying unlocked to participate. Additionally, while the beginning stages of the FATE chain can spawn constantly, the final FATE in the series (The Serpent Lord Seethes) can only spawn once every 24 hours at best. However, the chance of a spawn will only occur if all previous FATEs in the chain are successfully completed - this means players may have to camp the platform for quite some time before successfully spawning and killing Ttokrrone.
For best results, players can camp on the platform and use third party tools like Faloop to track the spawn window of their current world instance.

How To Get The Thanks For The Mu-mories Achievement
Players who want the Thanks For The Mu-mories Achievement must defeat a World Boss called Mica the Magical Mu. Mica spawns in the FATE Mascot Murder, located in the Living Memory (one of Dawntrail's best regions). This FATE is part of a three FATE series.
- Mascot March
- Mascot Mayhem
- Mascot Murder
When the first FATE in the series spawns, an NPC called The Grand Marshal will appear. Speak with him to start the FATE chain.
For the best results, it is advised to camp the coordinates (35,34), which are near the bottom right corner of the map. This is where The Grand Marshal appears. Players do not need to have flying unlocked to reach this FATE, but will need to be level 100 to properly contribute.
