Sesame is one of Fields of Mistria's various forageable wild plants that are said to have a mild, nutty flavor. You'll probably first encounter sesame when picking up Vera's Request for Sesame on the town quest board. It's one of her favorite herbs to use in cooking, and she'd like you to find one for her. Of course, she'll reward you for your efforts with one of Fields of Mistria's cooking recipes called Sesame Brocolli, which sounds like a pretty sweet deal for the cost of a single herb. Like some of Fields of Mistria's summer crops, it's possible to find sesame growing in several places in the wild. However, with so many possible forageable items to find, you might struggle with where to find sesame and its exact locations.
Fields of Mistria: How To Get Peat And Sod
Here's how you can get Peat and Sod in Fields of Mistria and gain increased Renown for the town
Fortunately, you don't have to travel too far to find some possible sesame spawn locations. However, when you're ready to turn in the quest, you might also wonder how to track down Vera, an NPC who only tends to appear on one particular day in Fields of Mistria.
Sesame Location In Fields Of Mistria
In Fields of Mistria, sesame is a forageable herb that grows in the wild only during the summer. While it might be possible to find it in other areas of the map, we could only find sesame in one location: by the chicken statue near Hayden's farm in the Sweetwater Farm map area, as pictured above. This spot is also where you can find lilac during the spring.
When searching for sesame plants, you can spot them by their green leaves with small white flowers. When harvested, you will see the brown sesame seed pods.
What To Do With Sesame In Fields Of Mistria
One use for sesame in Fields of Mistria is to complete quests like Vera's Request for Sesame, which you can find on the town request board usually during the early days of Summer, Year 1. However, once you've harvested sesame, you'll need to wait for the Saturday Market to find Vera's location in Fields of Mistria, where she runs her hair stall at the top-right side of the market.
After turning in the quest, Vera will reward you with the Sesame Broccoli recipe, which you can make using one sesame and one broccoli. Of course, there are other recipes to make using sesame, such as Sesame Tuna Bowl, which requires one tuna, one sesame, one cucumber, and one rice. You can eat Sesame Broccoli to replenish +46 health and +46 stamina or sell it for 115 Tesserae.
You could also keep sesame for a snack to top up your health and stamina. When eaten, Sesame restores a modest +5 health and +5 stamina. You can also ship any sesame that you don't want in your shipping bin to sell it for 30 Tesserae each.
When cooked, Sesame Tuna Bowl restores a sizable +98 health and +98 stamina, making it an ideal meal for exploring the Mines in Fields of Mistria. Alternatively, you could try giving dishes like Sesame Tuna Bowl as a gift to town NPCs or sell it for 340 Tesserae.
