Wordle is back today with yet another five-letter mystery for word puzzle fans to ponder. In order to solve this secret word and win for the day, some players might need a little help with Wordle strategy, hints, or just the full answer.

How To Play Wordle

To play the original version of Wordle and the subject of this article, there are only two places the game can be found: Wordle can be played on the New York Times Crossword app or the New York Times Games website. Copycat versions of the game will have different answers than what is listed here, and they may also have slightly different rules.

To start, players need to choose a starting word. This word must be five letters, a real word, and cannot be a proper noun. This word also cannot be one of the many offensive words removed from Wordle by the NYT. Players should also avoid previous answers and plural nouns ending in S, which cannot be solutions.
Once a great word is chosen, players need to type it into the site or app.
Press enter.
This will cause the letters to change colors: green letters are right, gray are wrong, and yellow letters are right but in the wrong position or positions in the word.
Try a new word and get new clues.
Keep trying words until the answer is guessed, or the player has run out of their 6 tries.
There is a new puzzle once a day, and it is available at midnight local time.
