Wordle is back with yet another five-letter puzzle for players to ponder over. In order to play and win today, some word puzzle fans will need a little bit of help, whether it be with the answers or the best ways to play.

How To Play Wordle

As a quick note: Wordle is both incredibly simple and was massively popular in early 2022. These two things made both easy and worthwhile to clone, and that means that the internet is flooded with Wordle copycats. The first Wordle, which is also the subject of this article, is the version hosted on the both the New York Times Games website and the New York Times Official Crossword app. Other versions will most likely have different answers than what is listed here.

To play Wordle, first choose a starting word. This word must be five letters long, a real word, and should contain five different common letters. This word can't be a proper noun or an offensive word. While they can be used as starting words, players should avoid previous answers and plural nouns ending in S, as these won't be answers for today.
Once a good starter is chosen, type it into the website or app.
The letters of this chosen word will change colors, giving players clues to the real answer.
If letters become green, they are right. Gray letters are incorrect. Yellow are right but in the wrong place in the word.
Figure out a new word with those yellow and green letters.
Try this new word, and its letters will also change colors.
Keep going until the answer is guessed or players run out of their six tries.
