Wordle is back today with another five-letter word for players to puzzle over. In order to win today's unique word challenge, players may need a little help with the rules of how to play, some strategy for winning every Wordle, or just some clues to the answer itself.

How To Play Wordle

Every day , Wordle posts a brand-new word for players. In order to play the version talked about here, players will need to head to the New York Times Games Wordle page or the New York Times Crossword App. These are the only two places to find the original Wordle, and other versions will have different answers. Many, like the niche clones, even have slightly different rules of how to play.

In order to start, choose a five-letter real English word. This word:

Should contain five different common letters.
Should not be a previous puzzle answer.
Cannot be an offensive word.
Should not be a plural noun ending in S.
Cannot be a proper noun.

After choose a great starting Wordle word, type it into the website or app. Press enter. This will cause its letters to change colors.

Green letters are correct.
Gray letters are incorrect.
Yellow letters are right but in the wrong place in the word.

Using these clues, choose a new word that has the green letters in the same place, the yellow letters in a different place, and includes no gray letters. Type this into the site, and its letters will also change colors. Keep trying new words and getting new clues until the answer is guessed or the player runs out of their six total tries.
