The iconic Fatal Fury franchise boasts many games, though the popular fighting series hadn’t seen a new installment in over 20 years. Along with other iconic titles like Street Fighter, Fatal Fury has left a significant mark on the gaming industry with its memorable characters and game mechanics, influencing the genre in many ways. Over the years, the franchise has maintained its popularity and loyal player base, though fans had long been waiting for a new game. On April 24, City of the Wolves, the new installment, was released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Now, the developer has rolled out a small patch to fine-tune some aspects of the game.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves – Trophy/Achievement Guide
Players will need to sink a lot of time into getting all the trophies/achievements for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves patch 1.1.3 addresses several bugs along with some minor issues. One of Fatal Fury's most popular characters, Terry Bogard, received tweaks for the DLC costume that was included as a pre-order bonus. An issue with Cosmic Strike Geyser, where the move wouldn't consume the power gauge in both Arcade and Smart Style, has also been resolved. Additionally, the properties of the Burning Wave move now match the default costume version in Arcade.
Character Marco Rodriguez also saw some changes in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves' Arcade Style, and can no longer cancel into a Far Heavy Kick (Feint) from a Combination Attack. Salvatore Ganacci’s Magical Step saw its cancellation time delayed, and an issue that prevented Fight Dirty from effectively stopping enemy movement has been resolved—this fix also applies to Smart Style.
Additionally, the developer has listed a few more issues that have not been resolved yet, though they will be addressed soon. These include an issue where guard canceling may freeze the opponent, incorrect replays that don’t properly show what happened in the match, and problems with game crashes. The developer encourages players to update the game to the new version from the home menu and to report any feedback. While Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has generally been well received, players have voiced several requests, and SNK has announced a couple of new features related to the solo adventure Episodes of South Town, which will be coming to the game in June-July 2025.
