Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse - Chapter 7 Walkthrough

Upon taking control of Choshiro, players should grab a Mirrorstone from the crate to the left and Choshiro's Investigation Notes (4) from the ground in front of the shrine. Collecting the second of those items will trigger a cutscene, and fans of survival horror games should pass through the door to the right when it concludes to enter the Place of Death.

Here, players should descend the stairs and examine the passage at the end of the path twice to receive the Scribbled Last Words. Fans should then turn toward the stairs to initiate a ghost battle, defeat the wraith, and collect some Blue Spirit Stones from the wall at the bottom of the stairs before returning to Moonglow Cavern.

Players should now walk toward the Old Underground Passage and wait for the lift to arrive. Another ghost battle will then occur, and fans of Fatal Frame games should enter the lift when the wraith has been dispatched. As soon as the lift is put into motion, players should point the Spirit Stone Flashlight through the door and be ready to photograph a Hozuki Doll during the ascent.

When the lift comes to a stop, fans should exit into the Lift Area and photograph the Nurse in Front of the Mortuary. Players should then collect some Blue Spirit Stones from the ground to the left of the stretchers and then enter the aforementioned Mortuary.

In this room, players should focus on performing these actions:

Photograph a mask on a table to obtain the Faceless Corpse entry
Collect the Post-Mortem Report: Tomoko Hinuma from a table near the room's entrance.
Collect Sacred Water from the altar in the middle.
Collect Red Spirit Stones from stretcher across from Sacred Water.
Collect Memo: "Erroneous Documents" and Back Door Key from trash bags near stretcher.
Collect Choshiro's Investigation Notes (2) from the altar by the trash bags.
Collect Post-Mortem Report: Tsubaki Tono from the corpse to the left of the Investigation Notes.
Photograph the Hozuki Doll on the tarp across from Tono's Report.

With all of these actions completed, players should attempt to exit the Mortuary, complete a ghost battle, and then leave the room. Fans of games with haunted houses should then head left and photograph the Nurse Patrolling Rooms before making their way to the Underground Passage.

In this passage, players should photograph the Nurse Heading Somewhere and follow her to reach a shutter. There are buttons on the wall next to this shutter, which fans should interact with and photograph to reveal an image of the Control Panel. Players can then collect Sacred Water from the boxes on the ground and head to the Isolation Cell Corridor.

A ghost battle will occur upon entering this corridor, and players should go to the position shown on the first map that is above after beating the wraiths. Indeed, the aforementioned Control Panel is in that position, and fans of the Fatal Frame franchise can examine it to restore power. Players should then make their way to the position shown on the second map to collect the Construction Worker's Logbook and Herbal Medicine. There is also a Hozuki Doll in an open crate at this location, which fans should make sure to photograph.

Players should now start navigating back toward the Underground Passage, making sure to battle the wraith that they encounter along the way to secure a Ghost List entry. Once fans do finally make it back to the Underground Passage, they should return to the aforementioned shutter, examine the buttons to open it, and go upstairs.

Players should now collect the Memo: "Special Treatment" from a stretcher in the Director's Office Corridor, enter the Director's Office, and photograph Yo Reading. Director Haibara's Notes (2) can then be obtained from the bookshelf near Yo's position, and the Letter from Soya Yomotuski can be collected from the nearby table. With those items addressed, fans of games with female protagonists should move the sliding bookcase in the room and photograph Yo in Laboratory as they descend the stairs.

In the Laboratory, players will find the Patient Observation Record on the bed, and they should collect it before returning to the Director's Office Corridor via the Director's Office. Upon reaching the corridor, players should go right, collect some Red Spirit Stones from a windowsill, and enter the Medical File Room. Here, players should pick up Haibara's Assistant's Notes (4) on the desk with the flashing intercom and then interact with that device.

The Exam Room is the next point of interest, and a ghost battle will occur within it. Notably, there is a Ghost List entry to be earned by allowing this wraith to blossom, and players should thus avoid defeating this hostile ghost in Fatal Frame too quickly.

Once the battle is ended, players should pass through the Exam Room Corridor to reach the Entrance Hall, where the Nurse Heading Somewhere (2) can be photographed. This nurse will lead fans through the Operating Room Corridor, Operating Room, and Reference Room, and the Nurse Heading Somewhere (3) can be photographed in the last of those rooms.

Players can now use the Back Door Key that they obtained in the Mortuary to unlock a door and enter the Back Door area. Here, fans of photography games will find the incinerator, and there is a Bundle of Burned Letters inside of it. There are also some trash bags on the ground next to the incinerator, and players should make sure to collect Film Incineration from them before exiting the enclosure and photographing Nurse Going Somewhere (4).

To note, this is a good time for players to get a photograph of a hidden ghost in the trash bags that are on the ground outside the incinerator's enclosure. That said, fans that are on their first playthrough will not be able to make this photograph, and they should simply follow the nurse.

While following the nurse, players will enter the Forest Path, and they should collect some Blue Spirit Stones on a tree, photograph Nurse Heading Somewhere (5) beyond that tree, and photograph Nurse Heading Somewhere (6) when they reach a bridge. Fans of Japanese horror should then collect the Chain Lens, which is on the bridge, and pass into the Graveyard.

A short cutscene will play upon entering this area, and players should photograph Nurse in Front of Grave when it concludes. Fans of spooky games should then focus on performing these actions:

Examine headstone behind stone structure to receive Tsubaki Tono's Diary and Blackened Film.

Players can now return to the Reference Room, and there is no need to battle the ghosts that appear along the way. Fans of action horror games should then pass through the Operating Room and photograph the Man in Sink when they reach the Operation Prep Room. The Entrance Hall is beyond that room, and players should answer the phone that is within it.

When the call concludes, fans should make their way upstairs and photograph Yo Heading to New Building at the top. This ghost will lead players into the Exhibition Corridor, where they should proceed up the stairs, through the door, and to the left to reach the 1F Lift Lobby. There are some Red Spirit Stones under the stairs in this room, which players can collect before entering the Dining Hall.

Here, players can pick up some Blue Spirit Stones that are on the ground to the left of the entrance before using the Projector to play the Blackened Film. As soon as the film ends, fans of horror game remakes should collect the Burned Painting and Choshiro's Investigation Notes (3) from behind the projection screen and complete a ghost battle.

Fans are now free to return to the 1F Lift Lobby, where they should photograph the Nurse Entering Lift. The lift that the Fatal Frame nurse entered can then be used to travel to 2, and players should exit and photograph Yo in Front of Hidden Door. Fans should then return to the lift, take it to 3, photograph the Nurse in Front of Station, and enter the 3F Control Room.

In the Control Room, players can collect the 3F Nurse's Logbook and Choshiro's Investigation Notes (5) from the shelves to the left. Fans of Wii games should then make their way Room 308, where they should perform these actions:

Collect Blue Spirit Stones from closet.
Photograph Sayaka Gathering Belongings by bed.
Collect Photo Taken in Front of Infirmary and Sayaka's Diary (4) on chair.
Try to exit to trigger ghost battle that awards Small Key.

Players can now leave Room 308, photograph the Man Going to Gallery to the right, and navigate back to the lift in the Lift Lobby. The lift can then be taken back down to 2, and it is now time to head to the Hidden Room. For full clarity, here is the path that is used to reach that room, and Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse players should photograph Ayako Squirming in Bed and battle her while they are in Room 207:

Entrance Hall 2F -> 2F Ward Corridor -> Room 207 -> Room with Four-Poster Bed -> Hidden Room

There is a jacket hanging on the wall within the Hidden Room, and fans should collect the Black Notebook (4) from it. Players should then unlock the small wooden box across the room to receive the Black Notebook (5) and Sealed Film, which can be viewed by going to the 2F Lift Lobby, heading downstairs, and interacting with the projector in the Dining Hall.

Fans of scary games should now use the lift in the Lift Lobby to go to 3, where they should set their sights on Room 309. A cutscene will trigger as players approach the easel in this room, and a ghost battle will occur when it ends.
