Fast Fusion is one of the Nintendo Switch 2's launch exclusives. It's a futuristic racer in the same mold as the Wipeout series and F-Zero and is a fantastic showcase for Nintendo's new machine. It's one of the visually impressive titles on the system — and one of the most reasonably priced.

There are many racing ships to unlock, and players must compete to earn cash to acquire better versions and learn how and when to fuse the best ships to create something new and faster on the racetrack. This guide will take you through the steps of unlocking new ships in Fast Fusion.
How To Unlock New Ships In Fast Fusion
When you jump into Fast Fusion's main menu, you'll notice there is a Fusion Shop to purchase more ships. However, you won't have any cash to unlock them yet. You'll need to compete in Championship Mode to earn coins so you can buy new ships. Thankfully, you'll still have three starting racing ships that will help you compete in your first round of championships and start earning some credits. You'll need to place at least third overall in three championship races in the Mercium Cup to earn decent coins and purchase a new ship.
The easiest way to earn coins is to repeatedly race the Mercium Cup, even if you place third, to grind for enough coins to purchase the Bliss LLP.
Recommended Starting Ship In Fast Fusion
The Cebra is a good starting ship; it has good acceleration, speed, and reasonable boosting abilities. Furthermore, there is a good chance you'll at least place third to earn coins and potentially win if you get to know the tracks well enough. It should also be the first ship you should fuse to get one of the best early ships in Fast Fusion.
How To Get One Of The Best Early Ships In Fast Fusion
By using the method outlined above, you won't have to wait long to obtain the Blira Genetics Ship. However, to acquire it, you must fuse two ships in the Fusion Shop. Luckily, fusing is a lot cheaper than buying brand-new ships. Use the following steps to fuse the required ships:
- Open the Fusion Shop from the main menu.
- If you haven't already, purchase the Bliss LLP.
- Then, Press A to Start Fusion.
- Select the Cebra and the Bliss to fuse them for 270 coins.
- This unlocks the new Blira Genetics racer.
After obtaining the Blira, redo the Mercium Cup championships and aim to get first place to earn even more coins and eventually unlock the Indigon Cup. The Blira is one of the most well-balanced vehicles in the game and will outperform all but the final three purchasable racers in Fast Fusion and will go a long way toward making the Nintendo launch title a bit less challenging.
