When the Australian science fiction show Farscape concluded in 2004, things were looking pretty good for displaced human astronaut John Crichton. His long struggle against the antagonistic Peacekeepers was finally coming to an end, the universe was entering an era of peace, and his partner Aeryn Sun had just welcomed their first child into the world. Ben Browder, who played Crichton, believes that there are more adventures out there for his character, which he would love to see in a continuation of Farscape.

In an exclusive The Best War Games video, Browder revealed that he would love to return to the role of John Crichton, ideally in a continuation of the sci-fi show featuring a mix of the original cast and their children. With Farscape celebrating the 25th anniversary of its first episode—which aired on March 19, 1999—now could be the perfect time to launch the kind of continuation Browder most hopes to see.

Browder Wants to See What Life's Like for the Farscape Crew 25 Years Later
Rather than rebooting the series, Ben Browder wants to see a continuation in which around 25 in-universe years have passed. He believes that several of the characters could still be alive and actively adventuring or exploring the universe. Other than Crichton himself, Ben mentioned renegade Peacekeeper Aeryn Sun, clever con artist Chiana, deposed former ruler Rygel XVI and, of course, the living ship Moya which houses the cast, steered by her ever-faithful Pilot.
Our lives don't end until we draw our last breath...I would like to see where they are today and how their universe has changed. Because in 25 years, our world has changed, and none of us are the same as we were then, and I think the stories could be compelling.
John Crichton certainly changed a great deal throughout Farscape's run. Initially desperate to return to Earth by any means possible, he gradually began to accept Moya as his home and its quirky band of inhabitants as his family. He began as a man unable to control the wormhole that flung him to the far edge of the universe and ended as a confident leader who utilized that very wormhole technology to broker peace between longtime enemies. Seeing how Crichton lived and flourished in the peacetime he fought for would be quite rewarding indeed.
He Would Be Happy to Return as John Crichton
Should such a continuation materialize, Ben Browder said he would "love to reprise John Crichton." The actor described Farscape as "the opportunity of a lifetime" and said that he would like to be involved in future Farscape- related projects in any way he can. "To be involved again would be immense," Browder concluded with an eager smile.
However, there is also a new set of characters that Browder would like to see appear in a hypothetical Farscape continuation: John and Aeryn's children. During The Peacekeeper Wars, a miniseries that concluded the original Farscape after its final season ended on a cliffhanger, John and Aeryn got married and had their first child together. The child was named D'Argo, after a dear friend of John and Aeryn's, Ka D'Argo, a powerful alien warrior who unfortunately met his end fighting for peace. Crichton believes that it would be fascinating to see a grown-up D'Argo—as well as any other children John and Aeryn may have had—and their adventures in the Farscape universe.
Currently, there are no official plans to bring back Farscape, although series co-creator Rockne O'Bannon has expressed interest in working on it. O'Bannon has reportedly had conversations with The Henson Company, which created Farscape's puppets, about a return to the series. It seems possible something like Browder's wish could come true, but that remains to be seen for fans of the series.
