Fantasy Life I: The Girl Who Steals Time features a wide range of lives for players to unlock and use their abilities throughout the journey. Lives centered around gathering are vital, as they let you acquire essential environmental resources.

However, gathering activities like mining, wood cutting, fishing, and farming consume SP on every move, and running out means restarting from scratch. The Sweet Spot mechanic is a great way to optimize your SP usage and complete gathering activities quicker.

How to Use the Sweet Spot Mechanic in Fantasy Life I

When players choose one of the gathering lives, like Miner, Woodcutter, and Angler, they'll need to use their respective abilities to acquire essential resources. It's best that you familiarize yourself with the Sweet Spot technique for each of them to optimize your strength point usage while gathering resources. SP can drain pretty fast while trying to farm higher-level resources, so it's best to figure out their Sweet Spots for maximum potency in Fantasy Life I.

For woodcutting and mining gathering activities, the process to find the Sweet Spot is pretty much the same. Players will need to start the gathering activity on a tree or deposit, and use the movement keys to rotate themselves around it. While rotating, use lighter swings to gauge whether the area is optimal or not. Once you see the Sweet Spot indicator purple, use a combination of light and hard swings to inflict the most damage and complete the gathering activity quicker.

For the fishing gathering activity, the process is a little different. Players will need to move the cursor in one of 16 directions on the wheel. Keep an eye on the line gauge and try every random direction to figure out the Sweet Spot. Once you do, keep reeling the fish in that direction until the activity completes.

How to Restore Strength Points Bar (SP)

The SP bar will replenish partially once players complete a gathering activity, but there will be instances when your SP depletes mid-activity. When that happens, you'll have to start from scratch, but your SP won't.

Although the SP bar regenerates over time, the process is excruciatingly slow. To quickly refill SP in Fantasy Life I, players can consume SP Potion or SP Potion +. These potions are cheap to acquire from a merchant and will allow you to have another go at the gathering activity. Some food items like honey and corn also recover players' SP, so make sure to pick them up on your travels.
