Mining is one of the Gathering Life skills that players can learn in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, but leveling it up can become a problem, especially since its mechanics are a little bit confusing at first. That and the lack of a clear leveling-up path can turn the Miner Life an exhausting experience for new players.

Fantasy Life I: Best Life XP Farming Spots In Act 1

This Fantasy Life i guide will show you the best early-game XP farming spots to boost your Life levels faster.

In this guide, we will cover most of the information players need to know to avoid getting stuck while leveling Mining, including a clear farming route they can follow to level up faster, and the best skills to invest in as they raise their ranks.

Miner Life Skills And Tips

The Miner Life has many special skills that grant bonuses to the damage that players do to Deposits, and also grant other important buffs and active skills needed to break nodes and collect resources. Most resources will appear marked in the mini-map and the map tab, and players can hover over them to visualize the type and level of the node.

Another important detail players need to know about is the existence of 'Sweet Spots', which are present in all resource nodes, including Trees, Fish Spots, and, of course, Deposits/Crystals. All resource nodes 'recover HP' as time passes, and while the collection mini-game is active, they will slowly regain their health bar while the players struggle to break them.

The Miner Life has four particular skills that can accelerate the process of leveling up, and players should aim to unlock these nodes in the Skill Tree as fast as possible:

  • SP+: Critical for breaking the most challenging nodes. The More SP, the more actions the player can take before they need to recover. And as resource nodes recover health with time, draining all SP means players cannot keep digging anymore, and they will fail the resource collection.
  • Sweet Spot Search: As the name implies, it will help players detect where the hit spot is in the resource node. It will consume a negligible amount of SP and help players save a lot of stamina by indicating to them where they need to hit the node to maximize damage.
  • Ore Breaker: A charged version of the regular attack, it consumes more SP but deals tons of damage, especially to Sweet Spots. Use it to break special Ores like the Fire Crystal in Banaan Cave.
  • Bedrock Smash: Unleashes a powerful special attack that deals tons of damage to Deposits and Crystals. It needs to be charged as any Special Attack, but the more Sweet Spots the player hits, the faster it charges.

Miner Buddies (like Duglas) can help players break Deposits and Crystals. Equipping them with Miners Picks and a Miners Set will increase the damage they do to the resource nodes, helping players overcome the most difficult of mining challenges.

How To Level Up Miner In Fantasy Life i

First, players need to go to the Novice Miner's Pit on the northeast side of Eternia Village following the apprentice Miner quest, and once they find Beryl, they will be able to gather tons of ores in the Pit. The Copper Ore Deposits in this location go from Level 2 to 5, will help players reach level 5/6 quite fast.

The quest will guide them to the Capital of Mysteria, where there are several Level 4 to 8 nodes on the cliffs overlooking the beaches at both sides of the city. Farm XP in these deposits, and when they deplete, simply get out of the zone using the north road and come back to farm more copper.

Once players reach level 8/10, Banaan Cave will be their next destination. The entrance to this cave is west of the Capital of Mysteria, on the beach below the road, and has tons of Copper deposits of several qualities from level 9 to 15, and most importantly: The Fire Crystal that players can use to reach Level 30+, and respawns every 5 minutes.

So, this would be the ideal route once players reach that location and at least level 17-18 in Miner:

  1. Gather as many Copper Deposits, then exit and enter again to farm more Ores.
  2. Wait for the timer for the Fire Crystal to reset, then farm it to gain a bunch of EXP.
  3. Repeat the process until reaching the desired level.

Players can also travel to Ginormosia, and switch the level of the Island using Googlina's Tower. That way, they can make leveled Ore Deposits spawn in the area and keep leveling up until they reach max level (100). Players can also participate in the Mining Mania Area Challenges that will grant them extra Miner Life XP and some extra Dosh for the effort.
