Fallout is the video game adaptation on every gamer’s mind after the award-winning first season from Amazon Prime became an instant hit with the fandom. Over a year on from season 1’s premiere, viewers have finally gotten their first look at season 2’s prominent location, New Vegas, thanks to a preview presentation hosted by the studio, and Fallout fans are also hoping to witness a cameo from Dinky the T-Rex in the future, if viral set photos are anything to go by.
Created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, the post-apocalyptic series is based on the popular RPG video game franchise primarily from Bethesda Game Studios, following the aftermath of a nuclear war framed through an atompunk retrofuturistic lens. The live-action stars the likes of Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, and Walton Goggins, centered around Vault Dweller Lucy (Purnell), The Ghoul (Goggins), and the Brotherhood of Steel. Amazon revealed Fallout season 2’s release month recently, shortly after filming for the follow-up run wrapped, and the premiere is arriving sooner than fans expected.

Fallout Season 2’s New Vegas First Look Revealed at Amazon Upfront
Shared by Discussing Film, a brand-new teaser for Fallout season 2 was featured as part of Amazon Upfront, an event where the studio previews new promos and updates for its upcoming television shows and movies. While the footage is yet to be revealed to the public, a screenshot was captured from the end of the teaser, showing Lucy and The Ghoul trekking across the desert with the New Vegas skyline in sight. Additionally, stars from the show arrived on stage wearing Santa hats during Amazon’s showcase to debut the teaser. The reveal follows Fallout season 2 set photos that leaked glimpses of the memorable New Vegas sign and several points of interest from Bethesda’s spin-off game, including The Tops Hotel and Casino.
Thanks to the leaked set photos, which also gave Fallout fans a possible Deathclaw tease, several cast members have been teeing up what’s in store for season 2. The Ghoul star, Goggins, claimed the upcoming episodes are on a completely different level from season 1, and that he wasn’t prepared for how the story unraveled. Furthermore, Fallout fans think it’s essential that Amazon doesn’t fumble crucial New Vegas storylines, including the Super Mutants of Jacobstown, the Ultra Luxe Hotel plot, and the Chairmen of New Vegas.
New Vegas is the main location featured in Bethesda’s 2010 action RPG, serving as a surviving post-war city in the ruins of Las Vegas, Nevada, located in the Mojave Wasteland. A notable landmark is the New Vegas Strip, dotted with casinos run by the mysterious Mr. House and his Three Families, and the city is also home to both Vault 3 and Vault 21 in the game. The setting was teased at the tail end of season 1, and Fallout season 2 may even include a pre-war New Vegas story if further set photos come to fruition on the small screen.
Fallout season 2 will premiere in December 2025 on Amazon Prime.
