The creator confirmed the model was based on the Fallout 4 version, matching the design of the Experiment 18-A plasma rifle. The project was entirely 3D-printed and consisted of around 200 elements plus LED lights to bring it to life. Since the fan received such warm praise on social media, they plan to make other plasma variants soon.

Instead of keeping the plastic finish, fans wanted to see the replica become more rusted and weathered in the paintwork, and the original poster noted that that next step would be fulfilled in due course.

The Plasma Rifles, Casters, and Guns of Fallout have graced every iteration of the franchise, including Fallout 76’s Enclave Plasma Rifle, the Plasma Thrower and Mean Green Monster from Fallout Shelter, and the Plasma Gun even appeared in Fallout: The Board Game. The high-tech weapons are usually powered by microfusion or heavy energy cells, plasma cartridges, or plasma cores and rattle out plasma bolts. Still, the modern-day designs, from Fallout 4 for example, differ wildly from the blueprint found in earlier titles, such as the Winchester P94 plasma caster.
