Fallout: New Vegas has gained a resurgence in popularity along with the entire franchise. The Fallout TV show was a huge success and there is even an upcoming Fallout-themed Fortnite event. The Mojave Wasteland has a few characters that the Courier can recruit as companions on their mission for revenge.
Cass is one of the first human companions that you might bump into on your way to New Vegas. This foul-mouthed caravan merchant has fallen on hard times. You'll have to jump through a few hoops to get her into your party. Here is how you can recruit Cass in Fallout: New Vegas.
Fallout: 10 Best Characters Who Were Born Before The War
Despite the odds, many great characters managed to survive the nuclear apocalypse for decades or even centuries.
Cass Location
Cass is located at the Mojave Outpost. This location is at the southwestern point of the map. You should end up here after Primm as you make your way to Nipton while following the main quest.
Cass is in the first building on your left. She's sitting at the bar drinking her troubles away. She will be very talkative, but there will be no way to recruit her yet. Ask her for a job, and she'll point you towards the Crimson Caravan outside New Vegas.
Work for the Crimson Caravan
Continue on your journey through Nipton and Novac to eventually end up in the outer Vegas area. The Crimson Caravan Company is based directly to the east of New Vegas. Speak to Alice McLafferty of the Crimson Caravan to receive a simple delivery task.
Bring the invoice to Camp McCarran southwest of New Vegas. This is NCR's headquarters in the area, based out of the McCarran airport. Deliver the invoice to Thomas Hildern on the first floor of the airport. His office can be found towards the left of the main lobby. He will also try and hire you to investigate Vault 22. Return to Alice and she will give you a new set of jobs.
Convince Cass to Sell Her Caravan
One of these jobs is convincing Cass to sell the rights to her caravan. Return to the Mojave Outpost and speak to her. You need 50 Speech to get her to join up with you. You can challenge her to a drinking contest with 75 Barter. Bring 12 bottles of whiskey to challenge her, and she will join up afterward.
Cass will be hostile towards you if you're labeled a Terrorist by the NCR. She may even ambush you after fast traveling.
