Fallout London is an amazing mod, but players aren't able to transfer their character over from their original playthrough of Fallout 4. Considering the original game is set in Boston, MA, in the United States, and the mod is based in London, England, within the UK, it isn't too shocking to learn that players would need a brand new character to play.

However, the fact that they needed a new character upset some fans of the franchise, which inspired some modders to figure out how to get their existing character from the original game over to the mod. Here's a guide to how some players have been able to get their character over from the game (which was originally mentioned on Reddit by user Pqblo.

How To Get Your Fallout 4 Character To London

After downloading the mod, players will be able to move their existing save file into the mod, but it isn't as straightforward as players would want it to be. To begin with, players will need to get on the Fallout 4 save. Then, they will want to teleport to "Mysterious Scientists 1," which can be done by typing the following into the console command bar: "player.moveto 0719c0c7". After that, they will find themselves within a wall, but by using the console command to clip through walls (done by typing "tcl" in the console commands), players will be able to leave the wall and will find themselves in London. Type in the console command to clip through walls again to turn that off, and players are now able to play the game like normal.

  2. Get onto Fallout 4 with the existing character
  3. Typ in player.moveto 0719c0c7
  4. Type in tcl
  5. Leave the wall
  6. Type in tcl again
  7. Play as normal

Does This Cause Any Glitches Or Crashes?

As of right now, those who have tried this glitch to get their character into the mod's world haven't reported any issues. In fact, most have mentioned that it didn't cause issues with the mod or the base game, allowing them to truly enjoy their time in London. Additionally, they were able to bring over their favorite companions, which made all the work worthwhile for most players who tried this.

While there aren't any reported issues with doing this, please note that that doesn't mean it isn't possible that it will mess with the game at some point or another.
