Fallout 76 continues on its road to redemption after a messy initial release many years ago. The Fallout TV show drove many first-time players to the Appalachian Wasteland. There's been many updates that have reshaped the game into a worthy part of the franchise. The most recent Milepost Zero update has made further changes to make the game even more newcomer-friendly.
However, Fallout 76 remains a survival game at its core. You need to regularly manage your vault-dweller's hunger and thirst by using food/aid items. Some of these items can result in addictions, and you'll want to cure these status debuffs as soon as possible after gaining them. Addictol is a cure-all for every type of addiction in Fallout 76. This makes it a valuable item to have stocked up in your inventory and stash. Continue reading to learn where you can find Addictol in the wasteland.
Fallout Shelter: Best Vault Numbers
While vault numbers don't seemingly affect gameplay in Fallout Shelter, there are a few cool vault numbers that are simply fun to use.
Addiction Explained
Addictions are debuffs your character can receive by using certain items. Chems and alcoholic drinks are what can cause these addictions. If you gain an addiction, you can check the Stats page of your Pip-Boy to learn how it's affecting your character. These negative effects will usually be subtracted from your SPECIAL skills. You can stop these negative effects temporarily by using more of the chem/alcohol.
The Chem Resistant and Professional Drinker Endurance perks can help prevent these addictions. Radscorpion Egg Omelettes are also the one food item you can eat to cure your addictions. This can be troublesome, as you'll need the recipe and items required to cook it yourself. There are no doctors that can cure your addictions in Fallout 76. The easiest way to handle it is Addictol. These inhalers are one use and will completely cure you of all addictions you're suffering from. You cannot craft them, and they will take a small percentage of your hunger/thirst after using them.
Where to Find Addictol
The easiest place to find some Addictol quickly is at Big Al's Tattoo Parlor. The tattoo shop is located in Morgantown to the east of Vault 76.
This area is part of the "Nukashine" quest. Enter through the back of the parlor, walk in and to the right, then down the hall to the desk. Crouch behind it to find one Addictol placed in a cubby under the desk.
Here are some other places where you are guaranteed to find Addictol. They can also randomly appear in medical chem boxes.
- AVR Medical Center - Two on the roof of the medical center held by skeletons
- Morgantown Airport - One in the medical laboratory hanger
- Dog House - One in front of the dog house between The Wayward and Isolated Cabin areas
