Fallout 76’s Gleaming Depths update will be released in December 2024, and it will also kick off the start of Season 19. Between early sneak peeks, recent datamines, and everything that’s been revealed in Fallout 76’s Public Test Server, a lot of the content coming in the Gleaming Depths update has already been revealed ahead of any official announcements.
The main attraction of the Gleaming Depths update will be the new endgame Raid activity coming to Fallout 76, along with the 4-star legendary loot. Beyond this though, this is shaping up to be a massive update that will bring a wide variety of new features and changes to the game for players to look forward to.
Why Fallout 76's Upcoming Dog and Cat Pets Deserve to Be Let Off the Leash
The new dog and cat pets coming to Fallout 76 could be the key to going above and beyond what the current companions and CAMP allies offer.
Everything Revealed for Fallout 76’s Gleaming Depths Update So Far
A New Endgame Raid Activity Is Coming to Fallout 76
Players who have already experienced the Gleaming Depths Raid activity on Fallout 76’s Public Test Server are already calling it the hardest endgame content to date, far outpacing the difficulty of Nuke bosses like the Skyline Valley update’s Storm Goliaths. Fallout 76’s new endgame Raid will face players against five boss fights with some minor puzzle mechanics in each encounter, requiring expert buildcrafting and teamwork.
Players who own Fallout 76 on Steam can participate in the Public Test Server to provide feedback on upcoming updates.
Some of the notable rewards from completing encounters within the Gleaming Depths Raid include a new set of Power Armor, trophies of the bosses as CAMP decorations, named 4-star legendary weapons, and mod boxes for the new 4-star legendary effects. This new Power Armor set, the Vulkan Power Armor, provides increased AP regeneration and decreased Fusion Core consumption while players are wearing the full set.
The new 4-star legendary loot in Fallout 76 can also be earned from 4-star legendary enemies that naturally spawn throughout the world.
Datamines Claim Fallout 76’s Season 19 Will Feature Enclave Rewards
The release of the Gleaming Depths update will also mark the start of Fallout 76’s Season 19 Scoreboard. According to datamines, Season 19 will feature Enclave-themed rewards, notably including CAMP items, outfits, armor skins, weapons skins, as well as other general rewards. With Season 19 releasing alongside the Gleaming Depths update, it’s expected that the Raid and any story content introduced in this update will also have a focus on the Enclave faction, yet while the full Raid has been revealed on the public test server, it remains to be seen what all story content this update will introduce, if any.
Features and Changes Coming in Fallout 76’s Gleaming Depths Update
There will also be a notable amount of balancing changes coming in the Gleaming Depths update, specifically for Perk Cards, so it’s recommended that all players check their Perk Cards to see how these changes will affect existing builds. Not to mention, various weapon types will also be receiving buffs in this update, with shotguns and pistols receiving damage increases, while most heavy weapons will benefit from improved VATS AP cost, making this a great time for players to try out new builds in Fallout 76 as well. Overall, this update will introduce a wide variety of changes and features to Fallout 76.
