There are lots of weapons in Fallout 76. One weapon type that is considered to be among the best in the game is Enclave Plasma Rifles. These energy weapons are highly modifiable and powerful, and they can be devastating to whoever is on the receiving end.

An Enclave Plasma Rifle (EPR) with the right mods and legendary effects can be almost unstoppable. However, newer players may find it difficult to obtain an Enclave Plasma Rifle. They'll find it even more difficult to acquire mods for it. This guide will go through how to get Enclave Plasma Rifles and Enclave box mods.

How To Get An Enclave Plasma Rifle

It's Easier Than You Think

Players often get confused and mistake the Enclave Plasma Rifle as being a hard-to-get weapon. While EPRs are very easy to get, the box mods are harder to come by. There are a few different ways that you can get hold of an Enclave Plasma Rifle.

The easiest way is to head to the Whitespring Bunker. In order to gain access to the bunker, you will need to complete the quest Bunker Buster from the main storyline. Once inside the Whitespring Bunker, head to the Production Wing. Inside that wing, you'll find a couple of MODUS Production Terminals. Typically, these terminals have two Enclave Plasma Rifles for sale. Each one has random mods attached, and they only cost a couple of hundred Caps.

Players also have the chance of getting a non-legendary Enclave Plasma Rifle with random mods attached by completing Dropped Connection events. These events pop up randomly. They usually happen in Berkeley Springs or Watoga. When this event is active, simply activate all three satellite dishes within the area, wait for a resource crate to drop, and kill a couple of enemies. Upon completing this event, there's a chance to be given an Enclave Plasma Rifle as a reward.

There are a couple of other ways that you can get your hands on Enclave Plasma Rifles. While they usually aren't as efficient as heading to MODUS or completing Dropped Connection events, they can still be worth doing:

  • A Small Chance To Get One From Purveyor Murmrgh When Buying Weapons
  • There's Always A Chance To Find One For Sale in Player Vendors
  • Possible Rewards For Completing Events and Quests

How To Get Enclave Plasma Rifle Box Mods

A Time-Consuming Challenge

Enclave Box Mod in Fallout 76

Unless you are very lucky, finding good box mods for the Enclave Plasma Rifle can be a very time-consuming task. While it is possible to find the occasional box mod being sold in a player's vendor, the chance of it being a high-value mod is very slim.

For the most part, high-value box mods are ones like the Reflex Sight, Forceful Stock, and Flamer Barrels.

The main way of hunting for the box mods involves lots of server hopping. There are three robot vendors in the game that have a small chance of having an Enclave box mod in their inventory:

  • Vendor Bot in Berkeley Springs Station
  • Vendor Bot in Watoga Train Station
  • Vendor Bot in Watoga Shopping Plaza

Most players who are searching for Enclave box mods will check the three vendors and then hop to a new server to check again. Then, rinse and repeat. While it is very time consuming, for some players, the grind is worth it.

There is another way that players can possibly get an Enclave box mod. That's by completing the Daily Quest, Cop A Squatter. While other Daily Quests and events do give players a chance to receive a box mod, Cop A Squatter always awards players with a random box mod. While the chance of it being an Enclave box mod is slim, a slim chance is better than no chance.
