When Fallout 76 was first teased by Bethesda, fans of the post-apocalyptic franchise went wild, watching a bobblehead for uncountable hours during a live stream. Fan theories, speculation, and rumors ran ceaselessly, but thanks to Microsoft's E3 conference, more about the role-playing game has been revealed, which means some rumors and speculation can finally be laid to rest.
Fallout 76 is confirmed to be set in the hills of West Virginia, which includes landmarks such as the New River Gorge Bridge and Monongahela National Forest, as a prequel to the other games. In the trailer (depicted below), fans get their first look at the newest elements of the franchise, including screens of the hills of West Virginia, the focus on rebuilding humanity, and a set of power armor, promising the future begins in Vault 76. Moreover, Todd Howard also confirmed that Fallout 76 is four times larger than Fallout 4, which means the game should be expected to be incredibly massive. Considering the setting of the game, it would see exploration may be a key focus in the game, though that has yet to be confirmed. Nevertheless, the incredible size is giving Fallout fans larger-than-life expectations.
Of course, if there is any studio gamers can trust with their expectations, it's Bethesda. While Fallout fans are sure to be excited concerning the latest revelations, there's still plenty of time left in E3. Although some fans may be saddened to see Microsofts's E3 conference come to an end, Bethesda's press conference kicks off later today where more may be revealed concerning Fallout 76 by the gaming giant.
