Crossover content has always been a crowd-pleaser, as certainly everyone likes to see the fan favorites in places they wouldn't ordinarily expect. This is certainly why Sora being revealed for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate made waves the size of mountains earlier this month. It seems the more crossovers are inbound for Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout.
Fall Guys is certainly no stranger to crossover properties, just last month the game got a crossover skin for the hotly anticipated Kena: Bridge of Spirits. Fall Guys has never been beholden to just one console's set of exclusives when it comes to cosmetics, and it seems the fun might be heading over to Microsoft's side if a leak on Twitter turns out to be accurate, specifically to its flagship Halo franchise.
According to Twitter user @FgPancake, aptly stylized as "Pancake - Fall Guys Leaks," three Halo-themed cosmetics are on their way to Fall Guys. The leak proposes the file names of three new items, the names of which seem to show that the three skins will be modeled after the grunt and chieftain enemies, as well as after the Master Chief himself. If this ends up being true, this would mark a prominent step in getting more Xbox representation in Fall Guys to match Sony exclusives.
Pancake goes on further to posit that these skins will likely release alongside the Xbox version of Fall Guys, which would make sense. As Fall Guys continues to grow larger and more successful, it's only natural that one can expect to see even more iconic representatives get the Fall Guys treatment.
The fact that this leak comes from this Twitter users is also a good sign for any Halo fans hopeful to tumble around as Master Chief. Though not affiliated with Mediatonic, Pancake has alleged many leaks in the past that have ended up becoming reality, so assuming that this would as well would be a safe bet.
The inclusion of Halo-themed cosmetics would be a smart business decision on Mediatonic and Devolver Digital's part as well. Fall Guys already enjoys a frankly absurdly massive playerbase on the PlayStation, it would be an intelligent move to try to garner some interest in the Xbox faithful to give their fun party game a try.
If this is the intent, there are few Microsoft mascots with as wide a range of appeal as Master Chief. In the words of one reply to the tweet alleging the leak when asked what Master Chief is doing in a place like Fall Guys, "Sir. Woo."
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available now for PC and PS4, with Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S versions releasing later this year.
