Farming is, unsurprisingly, a large part of Fae Farm. There's no shortage of crops to plant, harvest, and turn into delicious meals, but they won't grow without daily watering. Rain will sometimes provide some help from above, but to consistently have crops ready to harvest, players must become adept with their watering cans.
Fans of other cozy games like Paleo Pines will find the process fairly intuitive, but it may not be obvious for first timers. To keep crops happy, healthy, and ready to turn into delicious meals or profits, this guide will help players fill their watering cans. There are several ways to do so, and the best places to get water quickly will also be shared.
Fae Farm: Who Can Be Romanced?
There are six potential romance candidates in Fae Farm - this guide will help players get to know them.
How To Fill Watering Can in Fae Farm
After the busy days spent completing the game's tutorial, players are free to explore Azoria and tidy up their debris-covered farm. Soil beds can be crafted and filled with seeds that eventually yield crops, but water will run out sooner or later, and it's easy to lose track of how much is left.
To refill their watering cans, players must approach a well and hold left-click for several seconds when nearby. Alternatively, jumping in any body of water will refill the watering can quickly. Below is a list of easy-to-access water sources that players should use to refill water.
- A well is near the Chickoo coop southeast of the starting home
- A second well is close to the first, on the raised ground
- Small lakes and a waterfall lay directly west of the starting home
- Most levels of the Saltwater Mine have deep puddles
- The Wisp Mother is surrounded by pools of water
- A river directly north of the town center
- The ocean to the far south of the map
- The Fae Acres teleport spot is surrounded by water
How To Hold More Water in Fae Farm
The capacity of a watering can is only increased through upgrades. Copper and iron are fairly easy to gather, but later upgrades to Feyrite and Silver are resource intensive and quite expensive to boot. For this reason, it's best to save these upgrades for the endgame.
Daily watering isn't the only way to keep crops happy, however. Hydro soil beds, crafted with clay, oak logs, silt, and amethyst, will retain water for additional days, while the aforementioned rain will give players a day away from the farm to catch critters to their heart's content.
