Exoprimal: How to Play With Friends

Exoprimal is a multiplayer third-person shooter action game about destroying dinosaurs. In order to be as successful as possible when battling against these swarms of massive reptiles, many players will want to make sure they can take on the hordes with their friends.

While it doesn't have full cross play available, one of Exoprimal's launch features is crossover play with friends on the same platform type. But in order to battle against both dinosaurs and other players with friends, players will first need to know how connect with other players on their platform of choice.

Playing Exoprimal With PlayStation 4 & 5 Friends

Anyone playing Exoprimal on either PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 will be able to play with one another. In order to build a group of buddies to play with, follow these steps:

To crossplay between the PS4 and PS5, players will need to first make or sign in to a Capcom account.
Press the PS center button.
Select the party menu.
Choose the Invite to Game option.
Select the friends to invite to a game.

Playing Exoprimal With Xbox One or Xbox S/X Friends

While those playing Exoprimal on Xbox or Xbox Game Pass can't play with PS4, PS5, or PC, those on Xbox One can play with friends on the Series S or X, and vice versa. In order to invite friends to a game:

If players want to crossplay between the Xbox One and the Series S or X, they will need to first make or sign in to a Capcom account.
Select the Xbox menu.
Select the friend to invite from the friends list.
Invite them to play Exoprimal with the invite button.

Playing Exoprimal With Steam Friends

Playing the dinosaur-filled Exoprimal with friends on Steam is fairly straightforward. Add the friend to the Steam friend list, then follow these steps:

Press SHIFT + TAB while in the game. This will open the Steam overlay.
Go to the Friend's menu.
Click on the friend and hit "invite."

Will Exoprimal Ever Have True Crossplay?

While nothing has been said definitively, there is a chance that the developers will open up Exoprimal to a game with full crossplay. It is not currently in the roadmap for this game, but Capcom has mentioned that it is being considered. Currently, players can crossplay at random with PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X, so the structure for true crossplay is possibly already in the works.
