Capcom's dinosaur survival IP Exoprimal is off to a roaring start following its release, with players around the world teaming up with four others to take on a plethora of prehistoric monsters. The game is a competitive one, with two teams racing against one another to complete the objectives set by advanced AI, Leviathan, while trying to survive the various threats the game presents.

Exoprimal gives players ten different high-tech Exosuits to choose from, each with their own unique abilities, to provide a variety of strategies to suit every type of player. While there is some training in the game, they do not explicitly outline each Exosuit's skills, and for new players, it can be difficult to find out what their suit's abilities are. Here is how to find out each suit's unique skills while in the midst of the war games.

How Many Abilities Does Each Suit Have?

Each suit has the same number of abilities that use the same button prompts, so even when players are new to an Exosuit, they will be able to harness its powers just from knowing the basic button input structure. Every Exosuit has five active skills, one rig, and one craft option. Of those five active skills, one is the primary weapon attack, one is the overdrive ability, and the remaining three are an assortment of offensive, defensive or evasive techniques, depending on the class and Exosuit being used.

The button prompts are as follows (PlayStation / Xbox / PC);

  • Primary attack: R2 / RT / Left Click
  • Active Skill 1: L2 / LT / Right Click
  • Active Skill 2: L1 / RB / E
  • Active Skill 3: R1 / RT / Q
  • Rig Skill: Triangle / Y / X
  • Place Craft Item: Circle / B / Left Ctrl
  • Overdrive Ability: Triangle+Circle / Y+B / Z

If ever players are not sure which button fits the prompt, they can also view the abilities icons in the bottom-right corner of the screen during play. This will show what skills are available, which buttons to press, and any relevant countdowns while an ability undergoes a cooldown.

How To Find Suit's Ability List?

Depending on the gaming system players are using, the Exosuit ability list will be found in a different spot. Nonetheless, to find out what a suit is capable of, players will need to input a single button command to get more information. It is also beneficial to be aware that the player can still move around the map while viewing this menu, it does not function as a standard pause menu.

The button prompts are as follows;

  • For PlayStation, the button prompt is the down-directional button.
  • For Xbox, it is also the down-directional button.
  • For PC, it is the F1 button

Does This Apply To The Playable Dinosaurs?

The list of abilities for the T. rex and Triceratops dinosaurs in Exoprimal

There are a select few of the larger dinosaurs in Exoprimal that players can use to get an advantage for their team, namely the Triceratops, Carnotaurus, and Tyrannosaurus Rex. Each of these dinosaurs has its own special attacks, however, some have more than others, so it is ideal for players to become familiar with what each dino is capable of.

Just as the Exosuits do, the playable dinosaurs in Exoprimal have their own list of skills that can be found in the same menu. It is particularly important that players check these when playing as a dinosaur as some buttons are not assigned in instances where the dino does not have enough skills. The dinosaur attacks are, as expected, particularly powerful and a good run with a Dominator can result in multiple Exosuit casualties, so players are advised to take the time to briefly study what their dino can do.

Exoprimal is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S
