Exoprimal has many powerful and stylish Exosuits for players to choose from, covering Assault, Support, and Tank characters. Players may quickly find their preferred suits in Exoprimal, but it's also helpful to level up Exosuits in all 3 classes, so players are ready and best equipped for any scenario. The ability to change suits in Exoprimal can mean the difference between glorious success and the dinosaur crunch of mission failure.
Each of Exoprimal's best Exosuits has a unique set of abilities with different rigs and mods to choose from, so it's up to players to test them out and find what suit and playstyle works for them. Fortunately, equipping and changing Exosuits in Exoprimal is simple once players know how to and can make all the difference in the team-focused gameplay.
How To Change Suit In Exoprimal
In Exoprimal, players can change Exosuit in the game menu before starting a match, in the lobby, mid-match at any time, and during a game after being downed by an enemy. Players can change suit each way as follows:
How To Change Exosuit Before Starting An Exoprimal Game Mode
To change Exosuit before starting a match, go to the Hanger menu and select the 'Add to favorites' option to change suit (press the X button if using an Xbox controller). When players start a new match, their chosen character displays as an icon.
How To Change Exosuit In Exoprimal's Lobby
To change suit during Exoprimal's match-making lobby, press the view button if playing on Xbox (T for PC and Touchpad on PlayStation) to view all available Exosuits.
Select the desired Exosuit and press the 'Ok' button(the Y button if using Xbox) to confirm the selection, followed by Y+B together to change the suit and see a short animation of the player's character changing Exosuit.
How To Change Exosuit Mid-Match In Exoprimal
Players can change their suit mid-match at any time, similar to changing suit during match-making, by pressing the view button on Xbox (T for PC and Touchpad on PlayStation) to see all available Exosuits then pressing 'Okay' to confirm the suit, with one key difference. If changing suit mid-match while alive, a short cooldown of approximately 3 seconds follows before players can press Y+B to swap from the human avatar form to the new suit. However, players can shoot with a rifle while briefly waiting.
If players change their Exosuit after being killed by an enemy player, dinosaur, or Neosaur, they hop straight into their new suit immediately after the usual respawn cooldown ends.
Why Change Suit In Exoprimal?
Players may want to change suits in Exoprimal in Exoprimal' s game modes to help better balance their team's needs. Before a match, it's worth ensuring the team has at least one of each class, including a tank to protect the team and deal heavy DPS to challenging dinosaur foes or enemy Dominators. In the change suit selection screen, the game even points out when the team lacks a tank or another class. Another scenario might be when the team lacks a healer, such as the Witchdoctor, as it's always wise to have someone playing healing support.
The ability to change suit at any time is handy, but timing is crucial. Players may want to swap Exosuit mid-match or when downed to adapt according to the situation, particularly in a match's final mission where team-focused attacks can get intense and healing or inflicting more DPS is often crucial. For instance, it's usually a good time to ensure a Tank character like Roadblock is around to protect and inflict high DPS. Changing suit at the right time in Exoprimal can be game-changing, so it's up to players to assess and adapt to the situation to survive and win the game fast enough before the opposing team wins.
Exoprimal is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox S/X.
