There are a lot of exosuits to pick from in Capcom's Exoprimal but only one of them offers superior range and single-target damage output. Vigilant is the de-facto sniper class in this dinosaur-culling adventure and players that can learn to master the exosuit will find themselves dishing out tons of damage while simultaneously keeping the enemy team at bay. Here's a look at how to maximize Vigilant's damage and all players need to know about the Vigilant Exosuit in Exoprimal.

Vigilant's Abilities & Stats In Exoprimal

exoprimal-exosuit-guide-vigilant-gamerant-feature

Vigilant is, from an ability standpoint, a pretty straightforward Assault Class exosuit. Their low health pool of 350 (which can be increased with a module) makes them one of the most fragile Assault exosuits in the game (along with Zephyr). Thankfully, their immense range and jumping ability will keep them out of danger, making their small health pool a non-factor once players understand their limitations. Here's a rundown of Vigilant's abilities.

Other Skills: Railgun Charge (Allows players to charge the railgun by zooming in.)

Vigilant's long-range skills and abilities make her incredibly effective at picking off enemies from a distance but also give her great single-target damage output, making her an asset to the team when fighting larger dinos or enemy teams.

The Best Modules And Rig For Vigilant In Exoprimal

ChargeinhancerVigilantExoprimal

Vigilant benefits the best from the Cannon or Blade Rig. The Cannon helps give her additional ranged output and the Blade will allow her to stun enemies, making it easier to secure headshots or critical hits. Players can also make use of the Aid Rig if they find themselves in need of some additional healing when battling against other players in a PvP setting.

Vigilant has access to some great class-specific modules that can help increase her damage potential. One of her best is Charge Enhancer Module, which allows her to add a second additional charge meter to the railgun. By waiting for a full charge with this second stage, damage numbers will double. She can also make good use of the Frostbite Module which will give her access to a second Frost Lock Module charge while also increasing the damage it does to enemy exosuits. Lastly, the Floating Vault Module offers additional damage output for those that can keep their aim steady in the air, as it will increase the amount of time she's floating and deal additional damage for a short period of time.

Vigilant may also benefit from the Durability Module which gives a nominal health boost when fully leveled, or the Hi-Xol Compression Module which will decrease the amount of time it takes to gain her Barrel Breaker Overdrive ability.

Tips For Playing Vigilant In Exoprimal

VigilantShootingStingerExoprimal

Vigilant is great at dealing damage to single targets but suffers quite a bit when overwhelmed with multiple foes. Her Stinger Shot can be used to deal a small AOE burst as it pierces enemies and her Frost Lock can be used to escape from a swarm of dinos, but players should do their best to keep their distance from hordes of enemies as much as possible. This is also true when dealing with enemy exofighters. Vigilant excels at range, and will do less damage with uncharged railgun shots or burst fire. This means she'll have a much tougher time dealing with melee opponents or fighters that are close to her. Keeping distance is key and players should try to use the environment and sight lines to keep themselves away from danger as much as possible.

Players will also dish out additional damage if they focus their shots in critical areas when damaging dinosaurs and enemy players. Headshots work well for most dinosaurs like Raptors and the Carnotaurus, but players will have to locate other critical spots on certain dinos (like the stomach of the Ankylosaurus). The Triceratops will also deflect most of the damage from a railgun shot if players target their head. Headshots will always work as critical when dealing with rival players but a well-placed shield from a Krieger or Roadblock will block everything. Aiming for the critical spot with a fully charged railgun shot can help players dramatically scale their damage with Vigilant, especially if they use the module that adds a secondary charge amount to their weapon.

It's important to always stay behind the team and let them soak up the damage, leaving players free to aim their shots carefully against large targets and other players. Although it can be tempting to use Frost Lock on smaller targets, thanks to its cooldown it's smarter to keep it available in case an enemy player attempts to get close. A well-placed Frost Lock can give players enough time to aim a headshot or two and quickly take down squishier exosuits. Frost Lock will also work on larger dinosaurs, but only after they've taken a significant amount of damage (aim for less than 50% health remaining).

Vigilant players will also always want to use the high ground whenever possible. Not only does it make it easier to secure charged railgun shots, but it will also keep players away from the hordes of lesser dinosaurs crawling around them. It is important to be aware that larger dinosaurs are completely capable of leaping up onto surfaces and will pursue players at times. Vigilant players also excel at taking down aerial targets, so they should be sure to focus when any of those pop up to help the team progress the mission faster.

Overall, Vigilant is a pretty straightforward Assault exosuit and will reward players with good aim and single-target focus.
