Exoprimal is stacked with a plethora of Exosuit options that players can use to lay waste to the thousands of dinosaurs that have invaded the planet, but the Assault class of these suits is specially tailored to deliver maximum destruction. Of the four Assault Exosuits, none carry a more spectacular arsenal of weapons than the fiery Barrage, who is perfect for lovers of chaotic combat.
Barrage gets its name from the high volume of explosive weapons at its disposal, all of which are capable of turning dinosaurs into flying balls of flame. No dinosaur is safe from Barrage's arsenal, with its mines and grenades being capable of setting even the biggest dinos alight. Here is a complete guide to Exoprimal's fiery favorite Exosuit to get the most out of its skill set and have a blast while doing it.
Barrage's Abilities And Stats In Exoprimal
Barrage is a unique Assault class Exosuit in that its skills and abilities are all centered around an explosive attacking strategy. From its Skipbomber primary weapon to its evasive Flip Dodge, it will never perform a skill without some degree of spectacular pyrotechnics. Of all the Assault class Exosuits, Barrage is capable of dealing the most damage, with its Burning Heart Overdrive ability inflicting the most pain of any skill in the game. The Best Modules And Rig For Barrage In Exoprimal
Barrage is a fairly agile and durable Exosuit, however, its low fire rate can cause some issues when faced with a large number of dinosaurs. To counteract this, the Blade Rig is the best attachment to use for this Exosuit, as it can temporarily incapacitate dinosaurs that are close by and buy Barrage enough time to fire another devastating grenade to wipe them out. As an alternative to combat the slow fire rate, the Catapult Rig is also a good option as it enables Barrage to get free of dinosaur swarms and blow them up from a distance.
Barrage's abilities are among the best in Exoprimal, so naturally using modules specifically tailored to improve these skills are favorable for creating the most effective version of the Exosuit. In slot one, the Blast Enhancer Module improves the blast radius and magazine size of Barrage's primary weapon, which can be really beneficial in saving time and cutting down the amount of reloading required. For slot two, using the Lingering Threat Module will improve Barrage's best alternative ability by increasing the flame duration and decreasing the cooldown time of its Triple Threat ability. Alternatively, the Boost Grenade increases the attack power of the Stun Grenade, however, the Lingering Threat edges it out in effectiveness due to the significant damage the Triple Threat can do. In the third slot, players can elect for the Flare Dodge, which increases explosive damage and the chance of burning dinosaurs, however, the Reload Dodge is invaluable as a tool to increase Barrage's efficiency. With this module equipped, the Exosuit will automatically reload its primary weapon, which can save a lot of time and lower the chances of Barrage suffering damage.
Aside from the Exosuit-specific modules, Barrage is best suited for the Reload Efficiency to help cut down on how long it takes for it to restock on ammunition. Given the potency of the Burning Heart ability, players should also consider the Hi-Xol Compression Module to enable Barrage to use its Overdrive ability more frequently.
Tips For Playing Barrage In Exoprimal
Barrage is a high-damage Exosuit that is relatively durable, but it does not compare in health when looking at Tank Exosuits. Players should make use of its mobility and always be on the move when in a war game, as the explosive nature of its weapons does leave some room for error in the accuracy department. Barrage is most effectively used by combining all of its abilities in a series of flowing attacking sequences. The majority of its abilities have fairly low cooldown times, so using the Tripe Threat and Stun Grenades abilities in conjunction with its primary grenade launcher will make it nearly impossible for the dinosaur swarms to gain the upper hand in battle.
As an Assault class Exosuit, Barrage is best used in active combat at mid-range. It does not have any close-quarters combat abilities, so distance is advised, however, given it is immune to its own explosive arsenal, players need not concern themselves with any consequences for blowing up any dinos in their Exosuit's face. Barrage's Overdrive ability delivers damage like no one else does in Exoprimal, but players should use this with caution as it comes at a cost of 60% of the Exosuit's health, leaving it temporarily vulnerable to being attacked and destroyed.
Barrage is perhaps the most fun Exosuit to play with in Exoprimal. Whether players have been fighting dinosaurs for a while or just starting out, the satisfaction of sending swarms of Raptors into the air in an explosion just doesn't wear off.
Exoprimal is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S
