The backrooms can be a terrifying concept, and these games certainly use that to their advantage to create memorable horror games.
How to Find the Elevator Code in Escape The Backrooms (Color Sequence)
Players will encounter the locked elevator after completing Level 0 and reaching the Habitable Zone (Level Two) in Escape The Backrooms.
At the start of the Habitable Zone level, players will come out of the ventilation ducts and arrive in a parking garage. To the left, there will be an elevator you'll need to unlock in order to escape this level. However, the elevator is locked, and there's a keypad on the right with multicolored buttons.
Players will need to find the correct order of buttons to press (elevator code) to reach the next section of the Habitable Zone level.
To find the elevator code in Escape the Backrooms, you'll need to look to the right and spot a red door across the parking spaces. You'll need to make your way through the parking garage and enter the room with the red door. There aren't any monsters in this section, so no need to worry about that.
There are other rooms in the area as well that you can check for supplies, like a flashlight or sanity-restoration drinks.
Once you go through the red door, you'll arrive in a smaller parking space with different colored cars inside. The position of the cars parked in the space will be the code for the elevator in the Habitable Zone level of Escape The Backrooms.
Since there are four parking spaces on both sides, you'll need to memorize the colors of the cars from the left row to right row to decipher the elevator keypad code. Refer to the image above to figure out the code, as it's randomized for every playthrough.
Once you've figured out the color order, head to the elevator and punch the correct color order into the keypad to unlock it. Once you've used the correct elevator keypad code in Escape The Backrooms, you'll progress to the next section of the Habitable Zone level.
