Escape From Tarkov appears to be teasing a potential crossover with Escape From Duckov, another extraction shooter inspired by Battlestate Games' original. Although nothing is confirmed at this point, a series of social media posts from both titles has led some to believe that Escape From Tarkov could be set for a very surprising crossover.
After over eight years in early access, Escape From Tarkov was finally released in full in November 2025. The game is credited as being the original extraction shooter, a genre that has since been popularized by other titles such as ARC Raiders and Arena Breakout: Infinite. Despite this, Escape From Tarkov retains a hardcore, dedicated player base, and continues to go from strength to strength. Admittedly, the game's full launch was rocky, as Escape From Tarkov was review bombed due to server issues. However, it seems the game has emerged on the other side of these issues now, with developer Battlestate Games fully focused on new content to bring to the popular extraction shooter.

Escape From Tarkov Could Be Teasing an Escape From Duckov Crossover
Almost two weeks ago, the Escape From Tarkov-inspired Escape From Duckov confirmed in a post on X that its first collaboration is on the way, inviting fans to guess what it is. However, nothing has come of this since. The Battlestate Games X account has added some more fuel to the fire by releasing a new Escape From Tarkov promo code, WILDHUNT, which gives players several new in-game items when redeemed. The code was posted alongside an in-game screenshot, which features some shooting gallery targets, both of which have ducks on them. Although this doesn't confirm anything concrete, it certainly could be a potential hint about what's to come.
Battlestate Games CEO Nikita Buyanov sparked even further speculation, in a vague post that says, "I love ducks what can I say." It's still all speculation, but it would be cool to see a crossover between the two come to fruition, especially given the Tarkov influence in Escape From Duckov. Gamers will have to see over the next few weeks whether either developer reveals an official crossover between the two games.
On the surface, Escape From Tarkov doesn't seem like the type of game that would feature crossovers. However, it has increasingly become the norm for games over the last few years, with popular franchises such as Call of Duty and Battlefield embracing crossovers to allow players to experience a slice of other games in their own titles. In many cases, this has been a controversial approach, with many claiming that it takes players out of the immersion of the respective games. If an Escape From Duckov crossover were to happen in Escape From Tarkov, it remains to be seen how either game's community would react.
Now that Escape From Tarkov is out, the focus moves towards the future of the game. Towards the end of 2025, Battlestate Games offered a look at new Escape From Tarkov content coming to the extraction shooter in 2026, including some exciting new maps. Although the extraction shooter genre is becoming increasingly crowded, Escape From Tarkov has earned a lot of credit with its audience and shows no signs of going away anytime soon. It's going to be a big year for the game, which could determine how much longevity it has among gamers.
