Epic Mickey: Rebrushed has released a new update across all platforms that fixes a number of issues in the game. Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is an HD remake of Junction Point Studios' original 2010 title, published by THQ Nordic and developed by Purple Lamp. The original Epic Mickey was a Wii-exclusive title, while Epic Mickey: Rebrushed brings the game to all current platforms, including PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.

Epic Mickey focuses on Disney's iconic mascot and his adventures in the wasteland, a place that holds all sorts of forgotten characters from across Disney's history. Due to some mischief on the part of Mickey, he ends up messing around with Yen Sid's magic paintbrush, creating the villainous Blot. Mickey tries to fix things, but ends up making things a lot worse. After being pulled into the wasteland itself, Mickey has to use both paint and paint thinner to defend himself from the various monsters he encounters, and even make some decisions that alter the narrative. Following its successful launch on September 24, the game is getting an update to version 1.0.2 across all platforms.

Some exclusive features to Epic Mickey: Rebrushed's Steam version have also been addressed, such as fixes to accommodate the Steam Deck platform. The latest patch also added AZERTY keyboard support. AZERTY keyboards are different from a standard keyboard, rearranging the letter keys to different positions, and are used in French-speaking countries like France and Belgium.

The remake's reception is a lot warmer compared to the more relatively mixed scores the original Epic Mickey received in 2010, due to the original's issues with the controls and the camera. While some issues in Epic Mickey: Rebrushed continue to crop up, such as one user being locked in a fight with Captain Hook, fans are encouraged to report them as soon as possible on THQ Nordic's website.
