Sometimes, Epic Games' freebies even tie-in with current holidays for more fun, or in the case of the latest week, a third game to enjoy at no cost.

The Epic Games Store Free Games for April 25 Bring an Ominous Vibe to Being Taken to Other Worlds

Epic Games Store Free Games Industria and Lisa: Definitive Edition Explained

At first glance, there isn't much in common with Lisa: Definitive Edition and Industria, as both games are different in terms of genre, art style, and general storytelling methods, but there is a core theme that unites them that may bring players in with a fair bit of intrigue. Thanks to both of these games, April 25 will be a big day for Epic Games Store users, as Lisa: Definitive Edition is two games in one bundle, allowing fans to get three freebies at once.

In Industria, players are put in the shoes of Nora who has been teleported to a world that should feel familiar to fans of Fallout 4 by way of a device called the ATLAS, which appears to be causing mayhem for the worse rather than for the better. As she had jumped into the ATLAS to follow her coworker Walter who wished to handle what needed to be done when the Berlin Wall fell in 1989, Nora is given more than what she asked for upon reaching the other side, sending players on a short but poignant adventure.

Lisa: The Painful and Lisa: The Joyful, on the other hand, take place in the desolate yet hilariously unpredictable world of Olathe, where society seems to have fallen after a man named Brad has lived a traumatic childhood. Despite this, he finds a baby girl stranded in the wilderness and takes her in, raising her until one day she's stolen from him, starting the events of Lisa: The Painful, which are followed up in Lisa: The Joyful, its sequel.

Industria and Lisa: The Definitive Edition Bring Melancholy With Their Adventures

When looking at both Industria and Lisa: The Definitive Edition's stories, there's a shared theme of being taken into a world where everything the player once knew changes in the blink of an eye. Both Nora and Brad are looking for someone important to them with the lingering weight of the unknown aiming to kill any hope they have that the one they cared for has already died, pushing through whatever threat stands in their way to keep holding on. Beyond these beginning details, these games may be best to experience for the first time relatively blind, so players are most certainly heavily encouraged to pick up the games for free on April 25 if they wish to know more. If they're uninterested, be it due to Industria's short length or Lisa's underlying horror game elements, then they'll have something else to look forward to on May 2.
