Players Can Get an Indie Classic For Free For a Limited Time
It might not be as frequently talked about these days, but Limbo is considered a classic in the sphere of indie gaming. As this black-and-white puzzle game is best experienced blind, the premise has been simplified by developers Playdead as "uncertain of his sister's fate, a boy enters Limbo." It is said to be a game that sticks with its players forever, deserving to be explored as a result. Now, Epic Games Store users can make the plunge if they've never had the chance before at no extra cost to them.
Not only is the small price tag (or rather, the lack of one) hard to argue against, but Limbo itself doesn't have too many hang-ups to keep players from trying it. It may have difficult moments, but it forgives players easily with its checkpoint system. It will also only take players around 3–4 hours to complete, making it an award-winning story that can be seen through in its entirety without taking too much time from its players. It's a great choice as a free game for those who have yet to see why Limbo was so frequently talked about when it first released.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is A Great Time Sink For Old and New Borderlands Fans
Almost serving as the other side of the coin to Limbo's short playtime, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is being given away alongside it. Wonderlands may be a fantasy-oriented spin-off, but the general humor, storytelling, and gameplay loop are the same as the rest of the series, serving as a great gateway title ahead of Borderlands 4's launch this September. Everything in Tiny Tina's game takes place as part of a B&B campaign; a Dungeons & Dragons parody.
Just as players have come to expect from the Borderlands series, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands uses the same loot system the series is known for while adding to the chaos of a tabletop roleplaying game at the same time. Compared to Limbo, Wonderlands asks for at least 16 hours to get through the story, or 51 hours for total completion. It's a sizable game that players can add to their libraries for free, so it's worth getting to see what the series is all about if fans haven't had a taste already.

Typically, when an AA game like Tiny Tina's Wonderlands hits the free games page, it's either during a special occasion, or once and never again for the next few months.
