Though the hobby of gaming has grown increasingly expensive overtime, the Epic Games Store offers free weekly titles for all of its users every Thursday at 10 AM CT. Every week, a new set of games rotates in and the next set is announced alongside it. This gives players a chance to get a proper look at the game and what it offers before deciding if they want to pick it up when it becomes available on the Epic Games Store free games page.

The promotion first started as a bundle of joy for gamers in the 2018 Christmas season, where Epic originally offered a few free games as holiday presents to the storefront's user base. The promotion certainly proved its worth with this first appearance, as the weekly freebies continued into 2019 and further beyond. Now it's 2025, and only a few snags and last-minute issues, like a few encountered on the Epic Games Store in April this year, have hindered the giveaways. So far, it seems like October 2025's offerings and learning from April's past issues as an Albion Online bundle is up for grabs alongside Gravity Circuit.

Epic Games Store Free Game Gravity Circuit Explained

Fighting enemies in Gravity Circuit

After a month full of new releases like September, Gravity Circuit is a great game to wind down with after making a dent in one's backlog. This Epic Games Store freebie is a blast from the past as it features platforming that will make many retro NES fans feel right at home. Whether fans enjoyed Mega Man X or Shovel Knight, Gravity Circuit is more of what many fans of platforming adore from the start of '80s action games. It's a relatively short game as well, and those who decide to pick it up next week will find themselves spending five hours completing the main objective. True to its inspirations, however, Gravity Circuit has plenty of things to do and discover, and 100% completion will take about 13 and a half hours.

Epic Games Store Free Game Albion Online Explained

An NPC in Albion Online

Against giants like Final Fantasy 14, Destiny 2, and World of Warcraft, Albion Online stands out as a free-to-play Arthurian Legend MMORPG. Albion Online runs on a classless system dictated by one's gear and proficiency with specific weapons, and its focus on allowing any player to use any mounts they feel like is one of its main draws. As part of these aspects of Albion, Epic Games Store users will have a chance to log in and obtain an exclusive item bundle for free that allows them to play as a "Rogue Journeyman." According to the page, this bundle gives players over $55 worth of items for free, including:

  • Full armor, hat, boosts, and cape to become the Rogue Journeyman
  • Hell Mare mount skin
  • Poison Bottle costume weapon
  • Two emote spells
  • Guild version of the above cosmetics
  • 350 Community Tokens
  • 500 Learning Points
  • 10 Adept's Focus Restoration Points for crafting
  • 10 Adept's Tomes of Insight for progression

MMORPG

By offering both the Albion Online bundle and Gravity Circuit, those who are interested in the MMORPG can enjoy their items, and those that want a full game to play have a retro platformer they can claim. Back in April, the Epic Games Store gave away tons of similar live-service bundles throughout the month. However, as these item bundles weren't exactly "free games," they weren't well received by many of the promotion's visitors as a main attraction. Epic added full games in the middle of the week last time to compensate, and it seems this error was avoided this time by dropping a full game with a bundle for another title. As this is the second set of live-service bundles given away with a full free title, this trend is worth noting, as it might be that October goes the way of April and offers live-service bundles with one free game throughout the month. Fans should stay tuned to see if this ends up being the case.
