Epic Games Store has announced the free games for November 17, but not after some confusion with the storefront. The Epic Games Store updates its selection of free games every Thursday at 10am CT, and it typically uses the opportunity to announce the free game offerings for the following week as well. The Epic Games Store updated on Thursday, November 10 as expected, confirming next week's free games, but then it updated again to remove those games and replace them with Rumbleverse cosmetics. It then updated yet again to remove mention of the Rumbleverse cosmetics and return the free games to their spot.
The current Epic Games Store free games are Alba: A Wildlife Adventure and Shadow Tactics: Blade of the Shogun, both of which are available from now until Thursday, November 17 at 10am CT. On that day, Alba: A Wildlife Adventure and Shadow Tactics: Blade of the Shogun will be replaced by Dark Deity and Evil Dead: The Game.
At the time of this writing, it's unclear if the Epic Cheerleader Pack for Rumbleverse is coming to Epic Games Store as a freebie or not. It was advertised for November 15 to November 24 when it replaced Dark Deity and Evil Dead: The Game, but mention of it has been removed. Ultimately, fans will have to hang tight for the Epic Games Store to provide more clarification before they can be sure what's going on.
Epic Games Store Free Games November 2022
- Alba: A Wildlife Adventure (November 10 - November 17)
- Shadow Tactics: Blade of the Shogun (November 10 - November 17)
- UNCONFIRMED: Rumbleverse Epic Cheerleader Pack (November 15 - November 24)
- Dark Deity (November 17 - November 24)
- Evil Dead The Game (November 17 - November 24)
In the meantime, for those unfamiliar with the games, Dark Deity is a Fire Emblem-style strategy game that released last year to mixed reviews, while Evil Dead: The Game is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game from earlier this year that also earned mixed reviews from critics.
Even though Evil Dead: The Game reviews were mixed, there will still be those excited to see it added as one of the Epic Games Store free games since it's certainly higher-profile than many of the EGS free game offerings. Likewise, those hungering for a Fire Emblem-style experience to play on their PC may be interested in checking out Dark Deity while it's part of the Epic Games Store free games. Both titles will be available to claim for free from November 17 to November 24, at which point they will be replaced by the next batch of Epic Games Store free game offerings.
