Between March 27 and April 3, Neko Ghost, Jump and Cat Quest were free to claim on the Epic Games Store. Both of these titles were treated as mystery games whose freebie status Epic didn't spoil in advance. The company pledged to do the same with the following week's freebie.

The Epic Games Store's free game for April 3 has now been revealed to be Cat Quest 2. The critically acclaimed action RPG can already be claimed via the EGS website and will remain available until April 10, at 8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET. As suspected, the most recently concluded Epic Games Store giveaway spoiled the April 3 freebie. Epic's recent miniature mystery game streak has now come to an end, as next week's freebies have already been announced in the form of River City Girls and Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms.

Developed by Codename Entertainment, Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms is an incremental game that was released for mobile devices in May 2018 before making its way to the PS4 and Xbox One in December of the same year. The PC port of the game that Epic is giving away here was released in March 2020. Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms was already free for EGS users in mid-2021, then again in July 2022. The Epic Games Store has also given away several Idle Champions DLC packs over the years.
Meanwhile, River City Girls will make its debut as an EGS freebie once it becomes available to claim on April 10. Created by California-based studio WayForward, this colorful beat-em-up was released in 2019 to largely positive reviews, as underlined by its "Strong" rating on OpenCritic, derived from an average score of 79 and a 78% reviewer recommendation rate.
Another deal that Epic Games Store users can look forward to in the near future concerns the free-to-play roguelike shooter Arcadegeddon, which will be giving away some currency starting next week. Anyone who logs into the EGS version of the game between April 10 and April 17 will get 5,000 Arcoins as a one-time login bonus. The regular retail value of this pack is equivalent to around $20.
