112 Operator and Road Redemption are the Epic Games Store's free games for August 7. In the meantime, Epic Games Store users have several other freebies to claim.
Between July 24 and 31, Epic was giving away Legion TD 2, a tower defense game with a widely praised multiplayer mode. Now that this offer has ended, it has been replaced with two other freebies: Pilgrims and Keylocker.
Epic Games Store: A Comprehensive List Of Every Free Game It's Had To Date
Here's a list of all the games that have been made free on the Epic Games Store. You have until January 22 to get the current free games.
With the Epic Games Store's Keylocker and Pilgrims giveaway officially underway, the digital store has also confirmed the contents of its next promotion, revealing plans to give away Road Redemption and 112 Operator during the week-long period beginning on August 7. Road Redemption is a 2019 vehicular combat game that has players assume control of a biker gang leader on a road rage adventure. It boasts "Very Positive" user reviews on Steam and offers single-player and co-op split-screen multiplayer for up to four players.

Originally released in 2020, 112 Operator is a real-time strategy that tasks players with managing emergency services in any city the world over. It has over 5,200 "Very Positive" user reviews on Steam as of this writing. While 112 Operator and Road Redemption were both originally released years ago, they were never before free on the Epic Games Store. In fact, they aren't even available on the Fortnite developer's digital platform and will only be launching alongside their giveaways next week.
As per usual, the upcoming August 7 promo is planned to kick off at 8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET and will run for exactly one week. While waiting for 112 Operator and Road Redemption to become available to claim, Epic Games Store users can pick up Pilgrims and Keylocker. The former offers a non-linear narrative experience that has received widespread praise for its memorable characters, hand-drawn art, and substantial replay value. Pilgrims is also an atypical EGS freebie because Epic is simultaneously giving it away on both PC and mobile. Even when it comes to titles that are available on both platforms, the company usually opts for one or the other.
The other currently available freebie, Keylocker, is a JRPG-like game with turn-based combat and a rhythm-based twist, allowing players to increase the success chances of their attempts at aiming, attacking, blocking, and parrying with well-timed reactions. Anyone who enjoys titles like Super Mario RPG or the more recently released and critically acclaimed Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 might thus find Keylocker to be worth their time, especially if they're also a fan of cyberpunk.
