Enshrouded: How to Get Nitrate

Keen Games’ Enshrouded has all sorts of enemies that challenge you at every step. To survive the harsh world and defeat the Shroud, you will need different resources. One important resource is Nitrate, which you can use to make a number of items, tools, and spells as you progress in the game.

Nitrate is an important material in Enshrouded, but crafting it is far from easy. You'll need to build the Alchemist laboratory and collect four different items to make this rare substance. Keep reading this guide to learn how to get nitrate in Enshrouded.

How to Make Nitrate in Enshrouded

Here are the items you’ll need to obtain Nitrate:

5 x Sand.
5 x Salt.
1 x Wood Acid.
1 x Alchemical Base.

Sand

Sand is a versatile item in Enshrouded used in many crafting recipes. Players can get it from the ground in the Kindlewastes biome using a pickaxe.

Salt

Salt can be found in different areas of Embervale. Saline Quarry, Braelyn Bridge, and Ancient Spire are some places where gamers can find it. Beginner players can easily collect it from a crevasse near the Braelyn Bridge.

Wood Acid

Unlike the previous two materials, Wood Acid isn't found in Embervale. Players will need to make it at a Charcoal Kiln. You can build this kiln anywhere in the game. To craft Wood Acid, you’ll need:

15 x Wood Logs
3 x Dirt

You can chop down trees with a pickaxe to get wood logs, and Dirt can be collected from the ground in the Springlands biome.

Alchemical Base

The Alchemical Base is a crafting material that you can make in the Alchemical Station. These are the resources you need to craft it:

1 x Shroud Liquid
1 x Mycelium.
1 x Water.
1 x Shroud Spores.

Shroud Liquid and Mycelium can be collected from mushrooms in the Shrouded areas. Water can be scooped from wells. Luckily, you can get it in the early hours of your game.

Lastly, players will need to beat the Shrouded enemies to get Shroud Spores. Each enemy drops 2-5 Shroud Spores. Once you have all the materials, go to the Alchemist Laboratory, which you can build after unlocking the Alchemist in the game.

After building the laboratory, go inside and use the collected materials to craft Nitrate. It is used in different recipes in Enshrouded, such as Shroud Meteor and Black Powder. Enshrouded players can also use it to craft Fertilized Farm Soil, Mortar, and Aloe Seedlings.
