One of the strongest selling points of Enotria: The Last Song is the smoothness of building your character. Collecting the entire build into one page is one of the smartest moves a souls-like game can pull for this genre. With that fluidity of creating and managing your build, you can’t play the game without having the urge to keep experimenting with new Masks and builds.
Although
Mask of Change is the first Mask you acquire when starting Enotria: The Last Song journey, it’s one of the best Masks and can be viable up until the last boss. Here’s how you build Mask of Change in Enotria: The Last Song.

Players might be surprised by how much time Enotria: The Last Song requires to be completed.
Mask Of Change Build In Enotria: The Last Song
The perfect build for
Mask of Change is the one that takes advantage of the Mask’s effects in Enotria: The Last Song. The
Mask of Change has two important effects; increasing Heavy attack damage and increasing Physical Power when awakened. Heavy attacks are done by weapon damage and these types of attacks have an entire Skill Tree and items that increase their damage to the next level.
The awakened effect is a state your character enters when you meet certain conditions (indicated by a glowing arm), and it lasts for around 15 seconds. You can awaken the
Mask of Change by either switching to the Mask or triggering a finishing attack by hitting an Unraveled enemy. So, it’s better to start combat with another Mask and switch to the Mask of Change to enter the awakened state and take advantage of its Physical Power increase effect.
To build Mask of Change, start by building your Virtues in Enotria: The Last Song. You’ll always be closer to enemies dealing and receiving damage, so it’s better to have the Bruiser Virtue around 40 to 50. The Assassin and Trickster Virtues should be around 30 both since they directly buff your weapon damage and Stamina respectively. You can pull this off by using a good Aspect that buffs these stats while ignoring the Elementalist and Battlemage Virtues.
For weapons, you want your character to be able to deliver as many Heavy attacks as possible, which not all weapons are comfortable with. The best weapons to wield with the Mask of Change are Polearms, Longswords, and Sabers. Polearms are the best because of their reach and how powerful their Heavy attacks can be. Longswords are strong and offer slightly less reach. As for Sabers, they’re extremely fast but have the least reach and power-per-hit among the other options.

The best Aspect to use when building
Mask of Change is the
Aspect of Curtis, since it takes away from the Elementalist and Battlemage Virtues and adds six levels to Bruiser, eight levels to Assassin, and eight levels to Trickster. Not only that, but the
Aspect of Curtis also grants your character 5% extra Physical Power, which is great for their Heavy attacks.
It’s easy to get the Aspect of Curtis, but if you want to experiment with other Aspects, you can go for:
-
Aspect of Spaventa
- Aspect of Trickster
-
Aspect of the Breach Defender
- Aspect of Moretta

The only important Mask Line the
Mask of Change needs is the
Veemenza Elementale, since it grants extra Physical damage upon being cast. As for other Mask Lines, there are a handful of others to choose from that don’t require any scaling. In general, Mask Lines are directly related to the Battlemage Virtue. So, if you want to experiment more with them, you have to put resources in Battlemage.

Many tools can buff up your damage and protect your character in Enotria: The Last Song. However, when building Mask of Change, these are the top priority to have. Starting with the top priority tool, always collect and buy as many
Armonia Sap as possible since they’re broken for any aggressive playstyle. Once your character takes Armonia Sap, you can easily heal any damage done, allowing you to be as aggressive as you want. Thyrus’ Drool is more of an end-game item and can be hard to find, but it notably increases Physical Power and is always good to use against bosses. The
Hymn of Vigor is also important since it buffs your Stamina regeneration. You can also use
Verse of Vigor, which is easier to find but regenerates Stamina at a slower rate.
Enotria: The Last Song - All Stats Explained
It's crucial to understand the stats in Enotria: The Last Song to increase the chances of survival while exploring the game.
As for optional items, Inebriating Seasoning is a good choice if you want to deal with the consequences of using one. Once you use
Inebriating Seasoning, your character becomes Dizzy. During the Dizzy state, you deal and take more damage while your Stamina regenerates faster. It can be extremely useful if you’re able to perfectly dodge and parry attacks.

Reaching the most important part of building
Mask of Change in Enotria: The Last Song, Path of Innovators is the Skill Tree that heavily affects your character’s playstyle and role during combat. The notable Paths in this list are the
Sudden Rush and
Danza De Spada, since they dictate how the
Mask of Change will approach combat. First,
Sudden Rush greatly reduces the need for Stamina as it keeps refunding your attacks.
Danza De Spada, on the other hand, allows you to perfectly combo Light and Heavy attacks together. Once you hit a Light attack with Polearms, Longswords, or Sabers, you can quickly trigger a Heavy attack without charging, which is ideal for aggressive gameplay.
Annihilator and
Maestro Combattente are purely there to greatly increase your damage. Both Paths can add a crazy amount of damage to each one of your hits without you having to meet any requirements.
Battle Fever and
Path Of Fury also slightly increase your damage, but they’re not as important. You can replace them with more defensive Paths like:
-
Path Of Preservation
-
Armored Amber
-
Poised Stride
-
Layer Of Thorns
