Fans of the Grand Theft Auto franchise may want to keep an eye on this upcoming GTA-inspired RPG set in London called ENDS. Based on the gritty backstreets of London, ENDS will transport players into an immersive world that juxtaposes those born into the lap of luxury and those born to fight for survival. ENDS is set to launch for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, with an early beta test scheduled to open to the public in early 2026.
The popularity of the Grand Theft Auto games has inspired a number of other titles, with Saints Row and Watch Dogs among the many video game releases that have sought to scratch the same itch as GTA and its open-world RPG gameplay. Looking to follow a similar formula while introducing a unique London setting, developer Concrete Realms touts ENDS as "a single-player gritty action adventure" through the slums of one of the most beloved cities in the world.
New Game Looks Like Classic GTA, But Starring a Delivery Driver
Fans of the Grand Theft Auto franchise get an exciting look at a brand-new game that stars a delivery driver working in a chaotic city.
In ENDS, players take on the role of Rahim, as he navigates through life alongside his friends Sonny and Reece. The three must face the challenges of urban life in "a coming-of-age story that delves into the complexities of brotherhood, family, and loyalty." ENDS features a mix of sandbox and RPG elements with "realistic and grounded gameplay" that adds a deeper level of immersion wrapped within a narrative-driven crime drama. Choice-based mechanics similar to games like Detroit Become Human will also give players greater control over Rahim and his story. Having already hit its funding goal on Kickstarter, ENDS is currently aiming to launch in early access by Q1 2026, though this beta will be limited to PC via Steam.
ENDS Early Concept Trailer
While little has been shown in the way of gameplay, a recent developer log has given audiences an early teaser for the combat and exploration in ENDS. Players will be able to get into fist-fights while traversing the ruthless streets of London, and they will also be able to use an in-game phone system to complete various tasks and stay in touch with Sonny and Reece. Drivable cars can also be found in the world of ENDS, allowing players to experience as much of the city as possible while discovering all the different ways to make money and forge a path to the future for Rahim. With Rockstar's GTA game series as its central inspiration, ENDS hopes to transform the realities of London into a compelling journey that fans of realistic storytelling and day-in-the-life gameplay will love.
A number of open-world role-playing video games have risen to the top of the charts, with the likes of GTA and Red Dead Redemption popularizing the genre. Whether ENDS will live up to the standards set by these titles remains to be seen, but interested fans can follow along for any updates on the London-based RPG.
