The primary objective is to collect light by scanning creatures found in Endless Ocean Luminous. However, how the game automatically zooms your camera in and puts you into focus mode can be tedious and waste valuable underwater exploration time.

Luckily, there is a way to stop the game from automatically zooming your camera in, so you can quickly collect light without stopping. Since uncovering the map can be a long process, this makes it a ton easier to always be in motion. Here's how to stop the game from automatically zooming after scanning creatures in Endless Ocean Luminous to make the game more enjoyable.

The oceans in Endless Ocean Luminous are endless, and there is a lot to explore on a single map. Uncovering a map during a dive while scanning all creatures, solving disc puzzles, and completing missions can be a very long process, especially if you are playing in Solo mode. The following method to stop the game from automatically zooming in will make your journey much more enjoyable and peaceful instead of constantly having the game zoom into focus mode in a jarring fashion.

Here's how to stop zooming after scanning in Endless Ocean Luminous:

  1. Scan a creature using the L button
  2. While still holding the L button, press the B button

By performing the above steps, you'll immediately stop the scanning progress, which prevents the game from automatically zooming in on your camera every time your scanning meter completes. Instead, you'll cancel the scanning process but still collect light from all the creatures you highlighted with your scanner. If your primary goal is to gather the light from a grouping of creatures quickly, you can press the B button when you see the light orbs exiting the scanned creatures and heading towards you.

Once you get comfortable with this process, you can take it one step further by scanning creatures until the circle meter is almost complete. Doing so means you can either spin in a circle around you to capture all the creatures in the area or continue to swim to a new location to find more. Any creatures you have highlighted with your scanner will collect their light even if they are off-screen. Pressing the B button before the full circle meter will still cancel the automatic zoom. You'll be surprised at how quickly you'll fill your light meter and earn extra points with the tag slot machine.
