How to Make a Trade Route
A Trade Route is established when roads or docks from one region link up with those in adjacent regions, which results in a massive increase in dust and science income for both territories. However, unlike the physical paths visible on the map, you can not see trade routes between regions.
To build a Trade Route in Endless Legend, you will need to start researching either Imperial Highways or Cargo Docks. These technologies unlock the improvements needed for building trade routes: Right of Way (in case of land connections) or Cargo Docks (in case of sea connections).
Once you are done with the research, it's time to build. Construct Right of Way in cities for land connections or Cargo Docks in cities for sea connections. Ensure both cities have the necessary improvements to establish these links.
