The remastered version of The Elder Scrolls 4 made major waves when it dropped, though Oblivion Remastered has since slipped in player counts compared to other titles. However, with plenty of fans having loved the game since the original version launched nearly 20 years ago, its overall popularity doesn't seem to be in any danger.

Now, an Oblivion Remastered player named Jurba_The_Hutt is showing off the surprise birthday party their girlfriend organized for them. In honor of Jurba_The_Hutt's 30th birthday, their girlfriend and her friends went to work putting together an Elder Scrolls-themed party, with Jurba_The_Hutt initially being greeted by a sign on the door themed on that of the Black Hand of Skyrim, telling Jurba_The_Hutt "We know... It's your birthday," rather than the usual much more grim murder-themed message.

Further images showed by the fan demonstrate how far their girlfriend went to put together the party. A birthday cake with the Oblivion logo also includes text saying "Gate 30 Opens," referring both to the Oblivion Gates as well as the player's age. There was also a nice selection of grub themed on the game, including Sweetrolls and potions, with themed decorations surrounding them. For the player's birthday gift, the girlfriend even learned how to do pyrography, with a burned-in design based on the game and a message of "Happy birthday, my hero of Kvatch" in The Elder Scrolls' runic alphabet.

As one might expect, Elder Scrolls fans have been thoroughly impressed with the girlfriend's efforts, and congratulated the player. One fan furthered the Dark Brotherhood door joke by telling the OP that they "sleep rather soundly for a birthday boy." Jurba_The_Hutt noted in a later comment that his girlfriend has since seen the response from the community, and is happy about it, so everyone won on this player's birthday.

As games have continued to grow in popularity, fans and their significant others, parents, or even co-workers have been finding ways to integrate fans' favorite games into celebrations like birthdays, Christmas, and even engagement proposals. In keeping, many players suggested that Jurba_The_Hutt needed to get married to their girlfriend, with a few suggesting using an Amulet of Mara to propose, adding Elder Scrolls to another memorable moment of their lives.
