Three new Mythic items were added to Elder Scrolls Online with the Necrom expansion. In the High Isle Chapter, the Oakensoul Ring sacrificed a player's entire back bar for a suite of buffs. In a similar way, the Velothi Ur-Mage's Mythic bonus removes almost all damage a player can do with basic abilities in exchange for a handful of powerful buffs.
This Mythic likely to find its home in Elder Scrolls Online DPS builds, though because Attack Weaving is such an important part of DPS in ESO, the future of this Mythic item is uncertain. One thing's for sure – the Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet Mythic has a lot of potential to increase damage for players who can build around its uniquely limiting bonus.
What Does The Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet Mythic Do?
The Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet sacrifices one of the main ways of dealing consistent DPS for huge buffs. This Mythic will reduce the damage of all Light and Heavy attacks to practically 0, relegating them to resource generation only. In exchange, players gain 1650 Offensive Penetration, Minor Force, 10% bonus Critical Damage, and 15% bonus Damage to enemies across the board.
The Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet will most likely find a place in builds that don't rely on basic attacks for DPS. Though the reduction in damage is enormous, it's still going to be important to weave in Light attacks with abilities to keep Stamina and Magicka up.
Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet Mythic Leads Locations
In order to acquire Mythic items, ESO players must locate five Leads from a variety of sources. Leads are part of the Antiquities system, and to solve Mythic Leads, players must have at least a Rank 7 in Scrying. Once a Lead has been Scryed, players are pointed towards a Dig Site area. Somewhere in the highlighted zone is an actual Dig Site which launches the Excavation minigame.
After figuring out how to uncover each piece of the Mythic Velothi Ur-Mage's Amulet, the pieces should automatically assemble together in one's inventory. The pieces to this Mythic item drop mostly in the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha, but one – the Gold Shalk Clasp – actually can only be found in The Rift's Scrivener's Halls.
