Of the 10 new armor sets introduced by the High Isle Chapter, the Serpent's Disdain set gives players one of the more interesting full equip bonuses. Elder Scrolls Online is a game that is chock-full of status effects and long-term abilities, which the Serpent's Disdain set amplifies to an order of magnitude.
Nobody knows whether this Elder Scrolls Online armor set is as powerful as its full equip bonus seems at first glance, but as an armor set that has piqued the interest of ESO build masters, players are sure to know soon. In the meantime, pick up the Serpent's Disdain armor set if you want to try out a playstyle that emphasizes the use of status effects over rapid burst damage.

The Serpent's Disdain armor set is one with a pretty good full equip bonus but somewhat disappointing partial equip bonuses. This is because for two, three, and four pieces equipped, players receive bonuses to max Stamina, Magicka, and Health almost equally, favoring no stat and making it a bit generalist. The full equip bonus, however, is worth getting all the pieces for.
With five pieces equipped, the Serpent's Disdain High Isle armor set makes all Status Effects that the player applies last for a whopping 16 more seconds. This can be extremely useful as it reduces the number of times many players need to re-apply DoTs or short-term debuffs, giving more room for other abilities to be cast instead. The full effectiveness of this set is still being tested by most players, though the consensus seems to be that its full equip bonus is miles better than its partial equip bonuses.
How To Get The Serpent's Disdain Armor Set
As a craftable armor set, the Serpent's Disdain set requires players to find its associated special crafting location out in the world. This one in particular, called Stonelore Forge and Craft, is found on the northern end of High Isle itself. From Gonfalon Bay, head northwest from the westernmost exit of the city. Continue traveling northwest until you see two roads, one heading west and one heading north. Go north across an inlet and continue on the path until you reach another fork in the road; this time one heads northeast, and one heads northwest.
Take the northeast path and you should quickly see the map icon for Stonelore Forge and Craft. To be able to craft items in this armor set, though, players must have researched at least five traits for each piece. This can take some time, so be sure not to sell your weapons and armor and research them instead to be able to craft special armor set items in the future.
The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle is available for PC, and will be available for Playstation and Xbox systems on June 21, 2022
