The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom is finally here and players are beginning to dive into the newly-playable areas of the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha, which virtually complete ESO's version of Morrowind. It's never a bad idea to get acquainted with the new offerings, especially in a DLC as highly anticipated as Necrom.
Three of the ten new ESO Armor Sets can be found relatively easily in the Overworld, but their bonuses aren't always the most powerful, at least not compared to Trial sets and some Crafted sets. They're still well worth hunting down for players new to ESO or who are leveling a new character.
How To Get All Overland Sets in ESO Necrom
Overland sets in Elder Scrolls Online belong to one of three groups of armor sets in the game. There are also crafted sets, which require players to invest heavily into the deep crafting system of ESO, as well as trial sets, which can only be earned in group Trials.
Overland sets, as the name implies, can be found exclusively in the new, open world areas of Necrom in the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha. There are a number of sources for this gear, but some sources have a better chance to grant better-quality versions.
Outdoor PvE objectives like Public Dungeons, Delves, World Bosses, Quests, World Events (the Bastion Nymic) and treasure chests can all drop Overland set pieces alongside other materials and loot. However, by doing Daily Quests that start in Necrom itself, players earn reward caches that can contain the gear. This piece of gear is randomized in terms of set bonuses and which piece of gear it is, so it's good to do as many as possible each day to maximize the chances of getting something useful.
Delve bosses will drop only the Belt and Boots of Overland sets, while World Bosses drop Helmets, Chestpieces, Legs, and Weapons. Public Dungeon bosses will drop Spaulders, Gloves, and Weapons as well. The Bastion Nymnic will reward players with the Finger and Neck pieces to the set.
The Overland set bonuses listed below are based on a character at max level with 160 Champion Points spent – gear doesn't scale beyond that point in Elder Scrolls Online, though the Champion Point system lets players near-infinitely level characters.
