Full set effects in Elder Scrolls Online are much more powerful than the equip bonuses players get for having two, three, and four pieces equipped. For the Dark Convergence set this is especially true, with a full set effect that can be extremely powerful in niche situations supported by more standard Stat bonuses.

The Dark Convergence Elder Scrolls Online armor set is much more popular for PvP than PvE, though its use in one-on-one situations is not great either way. The Dark Convergence set thrives when facing off against a group of enemies - like other players in Cyrodiil and in battlegrounds who make the mistake of sticking too close together.

+1096 Max Magicka

+1487 Offensive Penetration

+129 Weapon and Spell Damage

Spells that create an area on the ground also snares and pulls enemies in after one second, Stunning them. Enemies within the area then take Magic Damage, and another burst of Magic Damage for twice as much hits enemies in the center afterwards. Damage done by this ability is increased by 50% for each enemy hit.

The Dark Convergence ESO armor set is Light Armor, and is thus geared more for ranged Magicka-based casters than other builds and roles. With two, three, and four pieces equipped, the Dark Convergence set increases Magicka, Offensive Penetration, and Weapon/Spell Damage. It is best used in PvP thanks to its bonus to Offensive Penetration over Critical Chance, and a full set bonus that snares, stuns, and hits for massive damage on groups of enemy players.

The full set bonus procs with AoE spells that leave an effect on the ground. In addition to the normal AoE effect, the Dark Convergence set makes the spell also snare enemies, pull them into the center, and stun them. The AoE spell also deals two bonus bursts of damage, one when enemies are pulled in, and one soon after that deals 2x the damage to enemies in the center of the area. The real power of the set kicks in when attacking groups of enemies, as the damage of these two bursts is increased by 50% for every enemy hit.

How To Get The Dark Convergence Armor Set

Open World PvP Cyrodiil Elder Scrolls Online
Elder Scrolls Online Cyrodiil PVP

The Dark Convergence armor set is a PvP armor set, which means that it can only be acquired for participating in PvP in Cyrodiil or Battlegrounds. For every 20,000 Alliance Points a player earns in Elder Scrolls Online PvP, they get a reward mailed to them in the form of a container called "Rewards for the Worthy". The set can also drop from PvP quest rewards, especially during the Whitestrake's Mayhem event.

The Rewards for the Worthy reward coffer can only be obtained this way, so if you want the Dark Convergence set, it's better to start farming Alliance Points sooner than later. These coffers offer random rewards, so it may take some time before you earn enough pieces to the Dark Convergence set to get the full set bonus.
