In The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle, the most recently released major Chapter for the MMO, players can acquire five new Mythic items with the Antiquities system. One of these new ESO mythics is the Oakensoul Ring, an item that removes your back weapon bar in exchange for a slew of buffs to just about every stat and resource.
It's caused quite a stir in The Elder Scrolls Online community, even after some of its buffs were downgraded in a patch, as it's arguably one of the best PvP Mythics in ESO right now. There are a lot of ways to take on an Oakensoul Ring build, and none of them are particularly "bad" thanks to the sheer power of this Mythic. These three builds are good as-is or can serve as inspiration for creating your own take on Solo, PvP, and PvE group Oakensoul Ring builds.
Magicka Sorcerer Solo Build
Originally developed by Hack the Minotaur, this Magicka Sorcerer build is geared for solo play over group content. It comes with plenty of ways to keep oneself alive when taking on dangerous enemies like World Bosses, and with the Oakensoul Ring it's even more reliable for staying alive and dishing out plenty of damage at the same time.
There are a number of good armor sets suggested for this build by Hack the Minotaur, but the one that players should aim to get most is the Alessian Order set, which adds armor, max health, and increases Health Recovery by a massive amount with a full set. The first two Set Bonuses for the Armor of the Trainee work well for this build, as well as the Maw of the Infernal Monster set, which adds Magicka and a 1/3 chance to create a Daedroth ally with each attack. Finally for your one and only weapon slot, aim to get the Crushing Wall Maelstrom Arena set on a Lightning Staff.

Werewolf Nightblade PvP Build
The Oakensoul Ring isn't just powerful for PvE, it's proving to be quite the menace in PvP, especially for Werewolf players who can still access their Werewolf abilities with the restriction of the Oakensoul Ring in place. This build, created by Venom1138 on ESO Hub, turns a Nightblade PvP player into a one-stop-shop powerhouse, though it can take some getting used to the rotation when including the Werewolf bar.
There are three sets players should acquire pieces to for this Werewolf PvP build. The Blood Moon set adds significant Critical Chance and stacks a debuff that increases damage and attack speed on hit with a full set bonus. The Savage Werewolf set, on the other hand, adds Max Stamina and causes Bleed on each Light Attack. The Slimecraw Monster set works well with this Oakensoul Ring build as it further increases Critical Chance. It also adds Minor Berserk, which is already covered by the Oakensoul Ring, but the extra Critical Chance is what you want this for.

Magicka Templar PvE Build
In addition to developing Solo build guides for the Oakensoul Ring, Hack the Minotaur has an excellent PvE build that uses the benefits of this mythic, too. A Magicka-based Templar has access to a variety of damaging, debuffing, and supportive skills that make them a valuable DPS addition to a party, even if they don't have a backup bar.
The main set in this build uses another set exclusive to the High Isle Chapter: the Order's Wrath set. This armor set adds a massive amount of Critical Chance and a little sprinkle of extra weapon and spell damage, making it great for DPS builds all around. The Medusa set further increases Critical Chance, and the Kragh monster set increases Offensive Penetration and gives a small chance to summon a Dreugh that makes shockwaves with each instance of damage.
