Elder Scrolls fans have received Oblivion Remastered with open arms, and the revival of the classic has led to a lot of fan tributes surrounding the game. Players have been doing things like painting iconic scenes from Oblivion Remastered, creating a real-life Gray Fox cowl, or even celebrating birthdays with an Elder Scrolls theme. In this case, one fan paid tribute to the game with a fairly unusual medium.
Elder Scrolls Fan Gets Surprise Oblivion Birthday Party
An Oblivion Remastered fan gets a special birthday treat in the form of a surprise birthday party themed around the Elder Scrolls games.
On Reddit, Oblivion Remastered fan happylittleacident shared the incredible piece of art they created on a black shirt using bleach. The artwork depicts the cover of Oblivion Remastered, with an Imperial Legion Soldier standing in front of a fiery Oblivion logo. Instead of a basic painting, though, this fan used bleach to strip color from key parts of the shirt, creating an orangey-white design in the center. Little flecks of bleach help to create the fiery look of the Oblivion logo, as though sparks are flying away from the fire.
Oblivion Fans Celebrate Incredible Bleach Art
With over 2,500 upvotes at the time of publication, it's clear that other Elder Scrolls players are big fans of the shirt. Numerous users have shared their praise for the artist's work in the comments, as well as their surprise that this was only the artist's second attempt at bleach art on a shirt. Even the official Xbox account complimented happylittleacident on their artwork. One fan asked how they did it, to which happylittleacident responded that they initially put down a freehand design on the shirt in chalk, and utilized a grid method to ensure that their proportions were right. From there, it was simply a matter of applying bleach with a brush and being careful, as adding black back in to correct over-bleaching wasn't an option. The result is a success, based on the many Oblivion Remastered players who liked it.
Some fans have asked if happylittleacident is planning on selling the shirt or any others like it, to which they replied that they weren't sure about selling due to concerns about infringing upon Bethesda's IP. However, they did note that they were thinking about making more designs, including one based upon the Dark Brotherhood's door, so fans may nonetheless be able to look forward to at least looking at another impressive Oblivion bleach art from this fan.
